Renees Place - Mt Sterling (IL)

4 /5 Cary Miller: Nice, small town, family style restaurant located next to Main Street. Renees serves traditional midwest food and is a popular spot for the townspeople. I ordered the Inside Out Burger which comes with French fries. The burger is called Inside Out because the cheese and bacon are actually stuffed inside the burger rather than placed on top. The result is a fantastic tasting burger. It does taste different than a regular bacon cheeseburger, better I think, and it has a slightly different texture. I would definitely order another one. The fries were crisp and plentiful. Well worth the price. Service was prompt and friendly. Great place to go for a family dinner or just coffee. Id like to add their roast beef platter is real roast beef, not some sliced lunch meat, and it comes with 2 slices of bread, a generous serving of mashed potatoes, and its all smothered in brown gravy. Delicious and filling.

3 /5 Marilyn Ferguson: The last time we went to Renees Place to eat, it was 1:00 p.m. and the lunch crowd was gone. There are plenty of sitting arrangements. The waitresses are fast and attentive. Generally, the food is average or above. However, I would have to lower the quality to just a ** due to the breakfast I ordered. My coffee was not only cool, but I could tell by the looks and smell that it must have been sitting there in the coffee pot for a few hrs. Two creamers did nothing to did nothing to improve it. I couldnt eat my greasy cool hash browns tasted like fish. Ironically enough, catfish fritters were the Friday special of the day. My husband ordered the very last special day. The cold catfish fritters left a lot to be desired, and he couldnt eat his either.

5 /5 Adam Brown: Really enjoyed this place. Cozy diner atmosphere with super friendly service. Went on a Saturday afternoon and had no wait time. The tenderloin was great and my friend enjoyed their omelet. The coffee was great as well and ground there

1 /5 Chris Gutting: 7/28. Wow the customer service was very rude today. 1230pm 8/4 1200pm Customer service was very poor, waitress didnt know what was on the buffet. Took our drink order and was never offered refills or even Che ked on after drinks were delivered at the table. Except another waitress came by after we got the buffet and rudely interrupted us and asked if we were having the buffet $15.96 kids even have to pay $15.96 ridiculous. Called the owner over due to raw chicken (pink) and the only thing she said was would I like something else. Lol Went to pay debit card with 4% surcharge. Tells me as a customer they are loosing money or not making money. Was told by the waitress the sign is at the entrance door for the charge. Never again going back. NOTICE THEY DONT EVEN RESPOND TO THEIR GOOGLE REVIEWS.
