5 /5 djolly6: Small town restaurants in the Midwest can be surprisingly good! You will know by how hard it is to get a place on Sat night! The menu is extensive. Of course beef and pork are king - slow-cooked prime rib, a variety of steak and pork chops. But lighter proteins - fish and chicken- are also plentiful. I had one of the specials- chicken bruschetta. Two 8 oz chicken cutlets with a delightful blend of mozzarella, peppers and spices. Mouthwatering! Sides included baked potato and grilled asparagus with a fresh crispy side salad. Everything was farm to table fresh and prepared wonderfully. Best grilled asparagus ever! We ended dinner with an amazing slice of homemade peach pie. Portions were so large that we took half home for another evening. Great experience in a classic Midwest restaurant!
