1 /5 Joanne Tate: So I took my car to the place on 37 in Mount Vernon that does car detailing and works on cars I left my van there I called him and I told him hey theres water coming out of the front and I googled it and it said that my water pump went out so we had my van for 2 weeks I go to pick it up it breaks down again not even three blocks from the place and so he comes and gets it its been another two weeks he calls me to tell me the head is cracked I said well why didnt you check for that when you had my van and he said well you didnt tell me to I said youre the mechanic he said well you told me what to do and I did it I said I googled it he said well I assumed you know what you meant are you kidding me I said I told you that I thought that thats what Google said so it might be that and he said well I only do what you tell me to do I dont do anything else I said well thats not true because while you had my water pump out you changed the belt and also amount that you said was going bad you didnt ask me about it you just did it without my permission and then added it to the cost after so you would think if youre a mechanic and a water pump goes out you would check the car over because I didnt even know if it was the water pump I just thought it might be I wouldnt trust that guy with anything he blamed me and he said it wasnt his fault because he only does what the customers tell him to do hes not a mechanic he hires other people to do the jobs and he only does what they tell us to do but thats not true hes called me several times and told me this or that was wrong he just didnt even check it he said well I let it run for an hour and it seemed okay I said you didnt test drive it make sure everything was okay before I came to pick it up he said no why would I do that I said I dont know to make sure it was running right before I came to get it I wouldnt take another vehicle to him I wont but Im warning everybody else he will blame you if something goes wrong with your car after he fixes it and tell you that he didnt know it was your fault for not telling him and the mechanic what was wrong with your car hes had it a month and now he wants more money for more parts and to fix more things Im going to have it taken to another place Ive spent $1,100 to get a water pump put on so far thats it thats a lot of money he always needs some expensive tool that he doesnt have and you have to pay for it and he test drive it to make sure its running right before you get it
