The owners of this amazing salon had their hearts poured into the welcoming big open area, and I think the layout works amazing. I was booked with Heaven, and I am so blessed to have her working on my hair. I wanted to make a subtle but noticeable change for the holidays, and she achieved exactly what I wanted. Highly recommended!

The salons vibe is chic yet welcoming, nestled right in River North. My stylist, Elyssa, took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, and the results were flawless—no brassiness, just a smooth, blended look that suits me perfectly. They even offered me a glass of wine upon arrival, which was a nice touch. Scheduling was a breeze, and I was in and out in just over two hours, which is perfect for my busy schedule. Definitely my new go-to spot for hair in the city.

He’s a phenomenal artist and his attention to detail and patience made all the difference. Afterward, Sophia worked her magic, styling my hair into the most effortless, perfect beach waves. She’s the sweetest, and her work was the perfect finishing touch. 5 /5 Brenda Duong: Love this place! I found Arsova on Instagram when I moved to Chicago and have been coming here ever since. I see Beth for balayage and glosses, and Noel for haircuts. Both are THE best. It is on the pricier end, but I have paid less at other places and found with my hair, it’s better to splurge here. The place is super clean, modern, staff are splendid. Booking system is convenient with automated reminders text and email.

Megan Batten: Overpriced and poorly coordinated. Came here months ago for a cut and color, but was so traumatized by the bad cut I havent gotten a haircut ANYWHERE since. Have just been growing it out. Color was fine and colorist was great - however scheduled my haircut (which I communicated beforehand was basically just a gloss) with an hour and a half between that and my hair cut. Clearly because of the bad planning, they dried my hair and straightened it before my cut (I have curly hair as well so this didnt make sense to me). My cut was the worst hair cut Ive ever gotten. Paid no attention to the shape of my face and what would suit me well nor did it look anything like I requested. The cut was a dry cut which turned out terrible. Left with all of the layers basically cut out of my hair and a hair fit for a middle aged woman...not a 26 year old. Staff were not super friendly, didnt even ask if I wanted to rescheduled . Felt rushed out of salon. Ive always paid close to around $350 for a cut and color...however this was the worst cut and color Ive ever gotten in my life and it was over $500. Ladies if youre young and want a fun flattering haircut and a stylist that will listen to you and respect you - avoid this place at all costs!!!

I get my highlights and haircuts with Zhenya and Tania - such talented hairstyles that never fail to make my hair ideas come to life. For eyelash extensions I go to Sasha. I have gone to many salons and lash techs for eyelash extensions, SASHA IS THE BEST IN THE GAME. She creates lash maps that match your face and eye shape perfectly, I always trust her wash style advice. Whenever I walk out of salon chick after my services, I feel like a real life princess - very beautiful and confident. Thank you SalonChick for having such an amazing team.

Alecia G.: Very unprofessional. I booked a lash lift 3 weeks in advance. Two days before my appointment the owner Xiya texts me saying the appointment is canceled because Anna no longer works there. But my appointment was booked with Xiya (the owner) and NOT Anna, so why is the appointment canceled? She didn’t even offer an apology for the cancellation. Not a great way to treat a repeat customer. Now I’m left scrambling to find lashes elsewhere before I leave town for my birthday. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Dee A: Jacinta transformed my hair in the worst way possible. Initially, my hair was at its healthiest and thick. Well, this lady heat-DESTROYED it. Ever since I left Jacinta’s chair, my entire head does not revert to curly whatsoever when wet. It’s completely straight and limp all over. Not only that, but it is now very brittle and easily breaks off. She totally fried my hair. She even started recording me without my permission! I told her I do not want to be recorded and she became VERY nasty and defensive. Jacinta also used way too much force with the flat iron, practically throwing it at my scalp with each pass. Ouch! Just zero care overall. SHE SUCKS! 0/10, would never recommend!!! Jacinta didn’t even STYLE my hair either, just straightened it, so it looked flat and lifeless. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHEN I SAW HER HAIR…

Gwendolyn Kendricks: I booked with Deseiree (zootiee2x ) 1rst appointment at the time of the appointment i get a message saying im coming off the train. She talked over my head the whole time. She kept stepping out to talk 15 mins at a time while i was in her chair. Second time i showed up for her not to even show up. My appointment was just pushed to the side I called and text this woman all morning for her to tell me to come to the shop hours later. I show up for the appointment which i shouldn’t have for her to talk on the phone over my head and turn my parts in my head into circle parts when they are squared off. I let her know that i needed them corrected she made me wait and then told me there’s nothing wrong with my parts. Moving right along i booked for February with another loctician in Issues. I booked for the wrong month so she was going to just fit me in today. When she found out i was the one that was complaining about my parts she said she had to check with desiree because she most likely wouldn’t be cool with it. I called and asked her what was the decision. She told me she’s sorry she can’t do my hair because Desiree isn’t cool with it. So in other words if you leave me as a client I’m going to make sure no one does your hair. When i tell you this woman is past unprofessional she told me waiting for her to show up is something you have to do when having locs. She has a lot to learn because if a person has a appointment a good loctician would have made sure she scheduled appointments far enough apart.or he’ll show up for your clients. So the other stylist apologized when the right thing to do would have been to do my hair. Not say sorry and return my deposit. Desiree told me that they both are the hottest locticians in south loop and they have both chosen not to do my hair. The other loctician is hot desiree is simply a wannna be. The part that kills me is that i was never going to let Desiree touch my hair again. I haven’t booked with her in months. BASICALLY ISSUES HAS MORE ISSUES THAT TISSUE. Keep your money it’s a circus in there.

I waited over an hour in two different occasions to get my brows done because the only person that did eyebrows was still home. I was so disappointed when I went to go cut my hair. If you don’t know the techniques of a hair cut simply just say so, don’t try something you don’t know on a client.

Leaving review on behalf of my fiancee: I had an appointment with Iris for a color and cut. It felt like the whole time she was rushing and not very attentive. At the end of the appointment, I pointed out that the haircut was uneven. She quickly cut the one side in one sweep, which didn’t fix it.
