5 /5 Andrea Schiller: The salon itself is clean and the front desk personnel are pleasant. But my review is more on Garrett, the absolute best hair stylist! Many years ago, I had an appointment to get my hair done and the stylist who was supposed to do my hair had to leave expectantly. Garrett stepped in and the rest is history! I had never had a stylist i went to on the regular but since our first meeting I was hooked. He is personable, genuine, knows everyone and truly wants his clients to feel better about themselves after they see him. He knows my family and I know his even though he has never met mine and I have never met his. I am not the client that comes in every month so it would be easy for a stylist to not want to get to know me, but not Garrett when you are put in his chair he wants to know all about you. I cannot say enough good things! So yes the Salon is great but its Garrett who makes the experience!

I go in with horrible split ends and washed-out color that hasn’t been refreshed in six months, and I don’t have a clear idea of what I want, and Anna truly takes care of me and suggests the best ideas. I’m always relaxed in the chair and even happier than I thought I’d be by the time she’s done. I can’t recommend her enough!

5 /5 Ryan Walling: Nothing better than the folks here and the abilities that Chelsea has to diagnose issues and take care of the body! I have been getting deep tissue sports massages done for a while now and have seen multiple massage therapists throughout the last 3 years and Chelsea is pretty legit! The fact she is located in Peak Sports Club and understands the fitness lifestyle is AWESOME!

However, upstairs on the second floor is a hidden gem known as Chelsea Belone, and her abilities related to medical massage. I was a client of Chelsea’s during the end of 2022. Without her talents, I would still be in a significant amount pain today. Let me give you a little history. In 2019 I had the first of three total knee replacements. One was a revision. I completed nearly 4 years of on-and-off physical therapy in the fall of 2022. At that time my muscles had atrophied, lost strength, and were extremely inflexible. My physical therapist recommended medical massage. Before I started with Chelsea, my hamstrings would cramp up resulting in my knee replacements locking up. I had lower back pain. I began to develop a mild piriformis syndrome which was resulting in tingling and numbness in my feet. Finally, I was anxious about overcoming these ailments. Chelsea listened to my concerns. Assessed what was needed and began the process of restoring the strength and flexibility to my body. Her technical knowledge on the bodies muscles groupings was exceptional. At each session she would ask for feedback on what was and wasn’t working. After the fifth or sixth session I no longer was cramping up nor did I feel the anxiety about this being a permanent condition. When I was finished, I felt fantastic. Her skills and dedication helped to improve my overall health. She is a very pleasant, knowledgeable, and a proficient massage therapist. She is empathetic and passionate about her profession. She is a true professional that can help people through medical massage. Today, I am back in the gym and feel very vigorous. On a scale of 1 to 10 she is an 11+. Remember, for medical massage the real hidden gem at B Almes Salon is Chelsea Balone, the best massage therapist in the Rockford area.
