5 /5 Mark Knoblauch: Back in 1975, we were students at Augustana College. We rented this very house for our upcoming Junior year. Just this past weekend, three of us visited this milestone house that we once lived in.

5 /5 Secondhand Sweethearts: Beautiful Homes, Great Community—But Some Safety Concerns We lived in the Broadway Historic Neighborhood for over a decade and truly loved it. The neighbors were friendly, the architecture is stunning, and it was great to see more and more homes being restored and brought back to life. That said, we did have some issues over the years. Unfortunately, the area does see some rift-raff passing through, especially due to a few known drug houses. Our car and home were vandalized multiple times, and that ultimately pushed us to move. It’s a neighborhood with a lot of charm and potential, and we still have a soft spot for it—but it’s important to go in with open eyes about the challenges too.

5 /5 Laverne Clark: This district is a lovely place to live but I did notice that there was several abandoned properties that can be fixed up and revived for productivity I think for the person thats seriously interested in the rehab of these properties should receive a first-class approval letter with the backing of the necessary resources and assistance to complete the job it will make a great asset to grow with in your future....

5 /5 Derek & Bethany Weipert: Love love love this whole area!!! We walk our dog through our neighborhoods and I feel like Im in a book or time capsule! Neighbors are nice and look out for each other and you feel like youre in a community of like minded people who love history. Every time I look around I am always noticing something new and beautiful. Its gorgeous and magical in all seasons. Very fun to raise a family here.

5 /5 Robin P: I did a walking tour of the area, so I learned a lot about the original owners, renovations and history. Even walking on your own, the homes are impressive and the architecture is stunning.
