2 /5 Sherry Phillips: I recently purchased a 2022 Chevy. I usually go to a “10 minute “ oil change place. When I went there for my first oil change, they said it would cost less if I went to the Chevy dealership, because of some certain oil that is used in Chevrolets. So I go to Dan Hecht. No appointment needed.
I show up and get greeted with “Our techs are going to lunch, so…”
I was okay with that because I had other errands.
I came back and waited briefly, then was helped, and suggested I wait in their lounge area. No problem.
After 30 minutes I checked on the status. I was told that they are not a 10 minute place. They do more than just pull the oil plug. I asked if it would be faster if I had made an appointment. I told him that I didn’t realize it would take this long. He said something snarky about my time not being important. That I should have known, etc.
Needless to say, I will pay the extra $20 at the 10 minute place. He was extremely rude, and all I wanted was my oil changed.
