Gabe Lumsdon: This park used to be fun to go to. The playground used to feel like a fortress and now its been ruined. Thanks, IL, thanks for ruining what used to be my favorite park in town because its right near my house.
Dave Cameron: Hmmm... reviews for the zoo seem to be commingled with reviews for the larger park. I wrote a separate review under "Miller Park Zoo". This review is for the broader park. Great place to walk or relax. Has a splash pool for kids, a pavilion for events, paddle boating on a lake, a stocked lake for fishing, trails to walk around, picnic areas, a gazebo, a baseball field, a monument to war veterans, a monument to firefighters, lots of open fields both in the sun, and shade, and easy access to downtown Bloomington. After the zoo, we spent 2 hours just exploring.

A small fun gem in Bloomington.
My dad and I came here after exploring Bloomington and it was one of our last stops. It was a great way to end a fun day.
Bloomington has a ton of parks and this one is on the nicer side of them. Opened up in 2012, this park is still in really great shape and it is nestled in a great community/sub-division.
The park offers your typical playground, easy access to ‘Gaelic Lake’, walking paths that are relaxing to traverse and a nearby soccer field. The path/bridge over to Gaelic Lake really helps elevate the niceness of the park and helps amplify the peacefulness.
If you catch yourself in Bloomington and want to spend a nice day at a quite park, Gaelic is sure to fulfill that. Small playground but a huge walking area, so if you need some alone time, you can go wander while the kids play on the playground.
Hurst Dale “1treasurehunterdale”: My oldest son lives right beside here so Ive been there often, really nice place. Very relaxing and colorful garden on this trail going through Bloomington. Stay tuned for photos soon...
Cheryl: Very nice park with sidewalk/trails around the whole park for walking, running, or wheeled sports. Great splash park (open Memorial Day thru Labor Day) and fun playground equipment. Theres a large fountain in the middle thats beautifully lighted at night. Multiple tennis courts, baseball diamonds, and room for soccer. Indoor bathrooms are located near the tennis courts. Free parking just behind and to the north of Central Catholic High School. Lots of space to park, unless theres a home football game! So many beautiful spots for pictures. Throughout the year we see family, wedding, and school photo sessions, especially near the fountain. There may be a permit required, but weve seen several weddings and events held in the park. Overall McGraw is great park thats well kept.
