5 /5 Lavana Hawkins: Helms park is a city water retention area that provides greenscape walking paths, homes for wildlife, and native plants. The manmade waterfalls are functional yet pleasant and beautiful. The wide concrete paved paths with benches are accessible for a variety of physical abilities. Wrought iron tables along Springfield make wonderful places to eat in the shade and enjoy the view. Landscaping separates the tables from the street so that even tho you can hear the city, you are engulfed by the setting. The park is the prodect of thoughtful design.
