4 /5 Hil: Dr. Bishop does a wonderful job. He is very friendly and his office is comfortable and inviting. I was never fearful to go to the dentist when I was in his care. I told everyone I know to go to him and would have stayed with him until the end. I felt that he was my forever dentist.
Unfortunately, that is until today when I was laughed at by the front desk staff. I called to make an appointment and told the front desk woman of my concerns of an infection, and then I was laughed at, actually laughed at. For reference the tooth I was calling about has just recently been infected and I have been sent to multiple specialists for, costing upwards of $4000 (after insurance)… and there IS currently pain, thus sparking my fears of another infection. She came back with a condescending laugh and said “UH stay off the off the internet yeah?” and then told me I couldn’t be in pain??? How could she know I wasn’t in pain??? I was aghast, and left feeling that these people did not care about me. I was given no compassion at all.
I immediately called another dentist to establish care. The other dentist got me in immediately, and said it is absolutely something I wouldn’t want to let go for over a week…
No one who is in pain should be laughed at and told they are not in pain.
