5 /5 Николай Баранов: This is not a museum, it is a real treasure for history or military lovers. I cant believe this place has so few ratings and reviews. The elderly people who met us on this vengeance were incredibly passionate about what they were doing. I can say that this is the work of a lifetime. I met the owner, whose name is David. He is a Vietnam War veteran. His father founded this museum. He is a veteran of World War II. This is an amazing story. Each military uniform in this place belongs to a specific person and you can read a short biography of this person. This is incredible. We also saw a huge amount of weapons, ammunition, uniforms, models of equipment, various parts from airplanes, cars, bombs, newspaper parachutes. In general, everything connected with almost all wars of the twentieth century. This is much more than just a museum. This is part of history, part of the lives of the people who work in this place and the people who live nearby. I recommend this place to visit to everyone who is nearby. It seems to me that you need a whole day to see everything that is there.

5 /5 Anna Baranova: A magnificent museum with a long history. Theres an amazing story behind every thing. A lot of weapons and models of planes and ships from the wars of the 20th century. Children and adults will be equally interested in spending time there. Put a couple of hours in advance to visit the museum, as there is a lot of information. The museum is imbued with a spirit of courage and courage. Thanks to the owners and employees!

5 /5 Sky Dreams: Theres no words can explain this place. When I entered the second floor, I felt the soldiers souls.. it was an amazing feeling but scary for the first moment I saw all those statues standing near each other . Thats feeling disappeared as soon as I started taking pictures.. I recommend to visit it and the people there are very gentle and like to explain and share all the information they know.. salute ✌️❤️

5 /5 Adelaide Z: It was a little surprise we found along the way to Springfield... The museum attribute the veterans of the war. It collects Veterans uniforms, but it is the amazing stories behind those uniforms that are worth of listening and learning. It was definitely educational for my kids. The staff there was patient and knowledgable. I definitely recommend it!!

Ed Bailey: When I arrived, my car was the only car in the parking lot. SAD! This museum is exceptionally well done. The displays and immersive presentation highlight a life that was well lived because of devotion to principles that respect all human life as opposed to devotion to the love of wealth. The prevalent weeds growing through the cracks throughout the parking lot give evidence that the museum is largely being ignored by the American public. A National disgrace! If you care enough to gain inspiration from an exemplary life we all should emulate, visit this museum?

The Tropics Restaurant Neon Sign - Lincoln

Gary: Iconic Route 66 Tropics sign from the like named restaurant. The sign was restored a few years ago to the delight of many Route 66 fans and those who have passed by it for years. The restaurant opened in 1950 by Vince Schwenoba. Unfortunately, it closed for good in 2003. We had enjoyed stopping in and still miss it and the memories. After the restaurant was torn down I had worried what would happen to the sign. A few years ago, it was restored and in 2016 the Route 66 Association of Illinois Hall of Fame inducted the Tropics. If you are a Route 66 fan or vintage advertising collector, then this is a must see!
