1 /5 Maredie G: Went in to buy a battery. Worker was putting it in and broke the wire lug on the positive side from tightening it down too tight. He could barely use the tools, perhaps he was having a bad day but he seemed inept. After much ado he refused to fix it. He went back inside with the tools leaving me with the battery not hooked up and no way to fix it. I went back inside and demanded a manager. Never saw the manager but a different employee came outside put a new lug on (which the first guy said he couldn’t do). He finished hooking up everything so I could drive home. I have used a different Napa store in the past and had a battery installed but the Greenville store is a joke. I do NOT recommend this particular location!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike Staley: For fast, quality, affordable, and HONEST service, you simply cant do better than Johns. I had a battery issue. I had it tested at a local auto parts store and took the results to another location I will not name. They wanted me to make an appointment for the following week to run a full diagnostic, for $175, before even telling me what the problem is. And they wouldve had my car the whole day just to run this diagnostic. I went to Johns, pretty late in the afternoon, and they said bring it back in the morning. I was there when they opened. Even though I know there were other people already booked, Johns team had it figured out, fixed, and had me on my way in 90 minutes. Also to find out that my battery charge was dropping so fast, it wouldnt have made it to that other appointment "next week". John and his team will never try to upsell you, never repair more than what immediately needs to be, and advise you on any issues that might not need immediate repair, but to keep an eye on. Integrity above all. Never look anywhere else.

Kip Phillips: I want to give a big shout out to Marks Auto Service for achieving the pillar of excellence! Earlier this week I had to have my car jumped to get it to Marks. I thought for sure I was going to need a new battery because mine has died twice now in the past few months and I explained that to them. Their team is great to work with. They so easily could have taken advantage of me but instead checked my battery and alternator and said that these tested out fine. They’re not like a lot of other places you hear stories about - they never try to sell me anything I don’t need, never do anything without asking me first and telling me what it is expected to cost, and they don’t treat me like I’m dumb. I’ve had family members call for second opinions on advice other places have given them, and everyone I send their way has been really satisfied. The shop is run by honest folks doing honest work and that can be really hard to come by anymore.
