2 /5 Meia Clayborn: 2025. Went to Regal because my choice salon was booked. It was easy for me to set an appt here same day. I asked for dip nails, manicure, and basic gel pedi.
My pedi was indeed basic for $50 and he took no time at all shaping my toe nails or filing he literally just cut them w clippers and painted. He did a great job with the bottom of my feet I was impressed but for the price of the pedi I feel I should have gotten more.
I didn’t complain.
My nails- I informed the guy who did my nails I wanted a mani- he said he would do it after my services but then proceeded to clip my cuticles while dry- Pulling attached skin and cutting my pinky underneath my nail. He then proceeded to do the dip. I got black because it was suppose to be simple. Before I left out of the shop my dip was cracking. I had leftover black dip powder on my fingertips and around my cuticles so I asked him to fix it. He tried to cut it off but said he needed to use the drill. My nails are natural so I don’t do a lot of drilling so I declined. Besides, why would he need to use a drill on my skin?
After a failed attempt to get the dip off of my skin, he then grabbed lotion and proceeded to massage my hands. I informed him I didn’t want the mani anymore and he grew upset and said I tricked him.
What is a manicure nowadays??
So he was going to charge me $30ish for clipping my cuticles and rubbing lotion on my hands? I think tf not! So I told him I would give him $10 for clipping my cuticles.
To me that should be apart of the service anyway.. what nail technician that takes any type of pride in their work skip clipping cuticles? That’s like going to the salon for a silk press and the beautician leave your edges nappy.. totally unacceptable!
So I go to pay with my card and they add an additional $5ish to use the card.. no thank you! And No tip! Horrible service!
They should set up shop in Aldis.
Would never return. Highly do NOT recommend.
