    1 /5 Kenzie Cummings: i went in with an appointment and still had to wait some time once i was helped i told the guy what i wanted and he got to work don’t get me wrong i like the color and the design but he made all but one nail bleed all my fingers hurt after and i had to deal with the bleeding for a few hours after because it would not stop. i was very unhappy with the pain and blood. it was very painful as he was doing my nails also. don’t recommend this place at all. edit: i’m now on day two and my fingers hurt so bad i can’t hardly do anything i think some of my fingers are infected…
    5 /5 Judy Watkins: Greatest place in Bloomington/Normal to get your nails done and other services they provide. They are always very professional and personal. Always wanting to make sure you are happy with services provided. During these difficult times with COVID they are doing everything they can to keep their business safe for them as well as their customers. Ive been going there for 15 years and not 1 time have I left unsatisfied. Give them a try you will love them as much as I do.
    1 /5 Beth Harlan: Would not recommend this place. Scheduled 2 pedicures and one manicure for myself and my 2 daughters. I asked for the pedicure with the longest/most massage, massage was basically non-existent and lasted maybe 90 seconds. Lotion was not even fully rubbed into my skin. Both my daughter and I had remnants of the paraffin wax left on our legs. My daughter who was getting the manicure had them switch out people in the middle of her manicure (another person came in for an appointment but we had made appointments as well) and they switched the color she had selected without her approval. To top it all off, they applied an automatic tip without informing me when I paid.
    5 /5 Jennifer Dirst: I have had my nails done at several places, and for the powder (dip) nails, this place does beautiful work. I like a combination of colors on each hand and they probably think I am crazy but they are very accommodating. The owner may come a roess as a bit gruff, but he knows his stuff and gave me the best dipped manicure I have had. I have had another lady do them too and they are equally as beautiful. I can do ANYTHING in these nails. Quality work, for sure! I have had the dipped nails from other places look bulky and chip off, NOT these. Going back tonight for another great design.

Tiffany always tells me hello, and asks me if I would like something to drink, never have I left there felling less than satisfied! Ive been other places, and I just have to return because its like coming home there, and you are always welcome. Best place I have found in the Bloomington /Normal area!

Emma L: Based on my description error, I got a one-time curling hair, the lady who helped me also kindly asked me if I needed water, but she didnt ask me what type of curls I wanted, and then I was full of doubts and got it ——A very small curly hair, I told my friends that I just came out of the hair salon, no one believed, not even I, I could do it better at home, I just had my head full of wonder why it was done for me curly hair like this? Even if I just said I want curly hair, at least ask me what type I want, you know what it feels like the more you think about it, the more wrong it feels? I asked if I could curl my hair without an appointment. The lady at the front desk was very nice and arranged for a lady who was temporarily available to help me. She washed my hair, dried it and straightened it, and then directly gave me a minimal volume, and then Im done. I know the feedback I gave you that day was good, and the lady helped me very patiently than I knew the perm service I actually wanted to do, and I also gave her a nice tip, but I didnt realize there is something wrong at that time ，maybe there is, because the doubt has been in my mind, it has grown out in the past two days, just talking about the service of one-time curly hair may be barely related to perfunctory. If you guys dont have enough time and tell me you can’t serve me without the appointment ,thats fine, but its not a good idea to get me a curl like this to kill me. Thank you for your patience.And this is what I looked like when I got home that day.

Terri Howes: Came to Sam a handful of times, each visit I felt as if she was trying to do away with my business. Had color dripping down my neck at work the next day the owner did fix for free but a continuous down hill slide for the next 2 appt Would not recommend and owner is not friendly. Even if owner is not doing your hair she should at least introduce herself.

Katie L: Daydream salon and spa is amazing! First of all the vibes are great. The music is relaxing in the spa rooms and fun and upbeat in the nail salon and cutting stations. The aesthetics of the paint and decor are modern and very welcoming. All of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a wide range of services. They are open 7 days a week which is rare in itself but the hours are also late into the evening so they can cater to almost anyone’s schedule. Kenzi is the cosmetologist that I see and I highly recommend her but I am sure you will be pleased with a service from any of these ladies!

Kendall Jones: When I say this is the best nail salon in town, I mean it! My very first time getting my nails done here was back in 2019. I’ve been loyal to them ever since!! The staff are all very friendly and genuine! The vibe in the salon is what originally what made me want to go back. They have a good music playlist, a clean salon, a HUGE selection of color (I’ve never seen a salon have more color options than they do) and more! I usually get my nails done by Gina, but will occasionally have them done by her sister or her husband, and even they are amazing! No one there has ever nicked me or hurt me in ANY way, in the past 5 years!! And I have ALWAYS left with my nails looking so clean and smooth!! Reading previous reviews, I honesty felt attacked and I don’t even work there. However, I am an independent hairstylist and I will say, if you have 2+ no call/no shows, you will most likely be asked to find a new salon. It’s how the beauty industry is!! So just keep that in mind!! Their prices do go up occasionally, just like any other salon, but they are still very reasonably priced!!

Maria Ryan: Very impressed with my daughter’s ear piercing with Kim at Merle Norman! She walked us through each step, explaining as she went and making sure everything was sterile and safe. Very professional. Also she was so friendly, making my child feel calm and happy, as we all waited for the numbing gel to take effect and she took her time making sure each ear mark was centered before using the ear gun. There was no rushing. It was just such a pleasant happy experience for my daughter’s first-time!! Thank you, Kim!! I would definitely recommend her.

Matthew Knapp: I have been a customer of Karis for about 2-3 years now and have only had good experiences with her! Shes very personable, great at her job, and knows what shes talking about. Likes to work with her customers and make sure she knows what you want. She cares about the quality of the products she uses and cares about if the customer likes the finished result. I have only ever worked with Kari, the owner, with hair cutting and coloring. She offers many other services on top of that though, and I would bet theyre all just as great! Have not worked with any of the other staff, but they all are very welcoming and seem personable as well! Nothing bad to say!
