SP Nails - Rockford (IL)

1 /5 Athena Paulsen-Vollmann: I have been coming here for a few years now and have NEVER had an issue. This time unfortunately, I brought my 17 year old daughter with me and we both got full sets...... The guy is my favorite and is the one I usually request to do my nails. I dont know what the issue was this day BUT he had a nasty attitude towards me, was short tempered, rolled his eyes a lot at me and Even raised his voice to me when I didnt understand what he was asking me because of his accent being so heavy. I apologized and felt bad that I didnt understand and still was polite to him because maybe he was just having a bad day right? Well he was rough and kept burning my skin and my nail beds while he was using the electric filler I told him repeatedly that he was hurting me and kept saying, "ow" but he continued anyways completely acting like he didnt even hear me when I know he did. They charged me an arm and a leg for my daughters full set ($78 plus tip) when she didnt even get anything TOO fancy.... Mine were only $45!! Makes no sense to me. So after paying, and STILL tipping $5 a piece to each tech I left unhappy and irritated and very disappointed in the overall experience this time. The VERY NEXT day I woke up with a VERY LARGE blister on the left side of my ring finger!!! Yup .....he burned me so badly with that electric file that it turned into a blister that caused me to be in SO much pain over the next week I couldnt Even touch my finger!!! I ended up having to bust it open because I couldnt stand the pain anymore only to see yellow puss literally pour out of my finger/blister!!!! I was sickened and disgusted and in shock! This has NEVER happened there!!! Ended up costing me a trip to my Dr and antibiotics over a simple girls nail day!!!!! Smh. They have gone WAY down hill since the last time I went there and its definitely NOT worth the $138 I paid just to get an infected finger!!!! They need to go back to how they used to treat their customers when I looked forward to my nail days with them! Needless to say.....lll never go back again!!! If I could give -5 stars I would!!! Shame on yall!!!!

1 /5 La Kyles: Idk what happened to this place. I’m consistently telling the lady I feel a hang nail. While she saying she doesn’t see it. It’s not a hang nail but my nail is pushing into my skin causing it to hurt. The lady that did my eyebrows left wax all on my face and lied about cleaning it. I definitely won’t be back. I tried to give them the benefit of doubt
