2 /5 Danny Butler: Not super welcoming even though you will hear them say specifically otherwise multiple times each service. I know I am a sinner in need of direction but I fail to see how purposefully making me uncomfortable in GOD’s house has become the duty of church staff. What lesson does that teach?
For anyone wanting more background on this, it’s based on my overlooking a 4 letter word on a t-shirt worn by an adult to an adult service. I was presented the option to flip it or leave. We have had issues some time prior about the kids being told “all gays go straight to hell”, and any religious beliefs aside that was in my opinion a very poor delivery to a group of at risk youth.
All this aside there is things we like about the church and the service and we probably will be back at some point. Generally, the kids speak highly of the youth group other than the gossip train of a bus ride.
