2 /5 Sara Mendez: I felt like a thief the whole time, because they followed us around the store. Maybe they’ve been stolen from before or something, but I expressly elected not to buy anything, because they made me feel uncomfortable. I do not feel free to browse without one of the employees hovering so closely. They had a lot to choose from, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience.

1 /5 Pryjole: I see someone else already commented on this, but I came here to say the same thing. Every time I come to Galena, I try to stop in and buy an article of clothing from this store. Today my mom and I were in shopping, looking for a sweatshirt to buy. We were pretty much followed around the entire time, and the worker (older lady) was also chiming in on our conversations about shirts I was looking at. It was tacky, so much so that the first thing my mom (late 60s) said to me when we left was, "God, that was annoying." (Her following us around.) Apparently we were both thinking the same thing. I get we live in a time where there is shoplifting and theft, but figure something else out besides this tactic. We dont have that experience in other shops. I think Ill find somewhere else to shop next time.

1 /5 Jamie Anfinson: Every year my wife and I come to Galena for the Night of Luminaria and live windows. Each year we also buy a new puzzle from this store. Well it just so happens this year we had our infant daughter with us for the first time. Seeing as how this is the biggest Christmas weekend of the year and its a family event, you would think stores would be receptive to that. Well the lady at the door very rudely informed us that no strollers were allowed inside, and Im certainly not taking my baby out of her warm stroller when its 30 degrees outside and shes bundled up perfectly. Needless to say, the tradition of buying puzzles once a year from this store is over. Judging from comments, Im not the only one with issues dealing with the employees at this store. We wont be back and well definitely be letting all our friends know not to step foot in this store. We went into about 3 dozen other stores with our stroller and never had an issue. This was the only store that doesnt like children apparently.

1 /5 J D: Alway would come in with my wife, when visiting Galena, IL. Really liked there Woolwich shirts, was a little expensive. But didn’t mind supporting local businesses. Went in this weekend, and was literally followed every inch of the store by staff. I truly felt uncomfortable and just left. I can say I will not be going back to this store ever again. And yet store owners wonder why everyone Just orders everything online, you are killing your own businesses. Good luck with that.
