Diana Rogers The Senior Baker took my case & assured me I had a winning case and I did. But I lost my State & Federal hearing because Mr Baker FAILED to submit my package of evidence (emails, phone calls, notes & direct threats from my employer) in a timely manner. When I went to the Attorney disciplinary board, they declared it a "fee dispute" because Mr. Baker stated he told me from the beginning that I had a losing case. LIAR!!! DO NOT TRUST THIS MAN! My employer then retaliated against me, put me in a file room as an Executive, forced me out & I was forced to retire.

B Houseworth I initially had a positive impression of Baker & Baker Law Firm, largely due to the exceptional professionalism and warmth of their secretary, Brenda, who guided me through the initial steps of my employment law case in Illinois. Mr. Baker, my attorney, exuded confidence in our likelihood of success and provided me with a discovery form to complete. I informed him that gathering the necessary information would take time due to the emotional toll of the circumstances, and he assured me this would not be an issue, stating he would communicate my situation to the commission. However, after months of waiting, I reached out to the firm for an update, only to be told they had no new information. Concerned, I contacted the commission directly and learned that my case had been dismissed. Shockingly, I was informed that Mr. Baker had been notified of the dismissal but failed to act, missing the 30-day window for an appeal. This oversight was particularly frustrating, as I had repeatedly communicated potential delays in submitting evidence, and Mr. Baker never once warned me that failure to submit by a specific deadline could result in the case being dropped. As a business owner, investor, and someone who dedicates significant time to volunteer and spiritual activities, I was deeply disappointed by this outcome, which cost me a substantial financial opportunity. To add to my frustration, Mr. Baker offered to refund half of my payment but failed to follow through, leaving me with no compensation after weeks of waiting. This experience leads me to question Mr. Baker’s diligence and competence in managing critical case details, such as monitoring communications from the commission. I strongly advise others to seek legal representation elsewhere to avoid similar mishandling.

Stephanie J Just got off the phone with Mr. Spooner after trying to explain my situation to him he cut me off and told me to find another attorney. During the conversation he claimed that he couldnt hear me and told me he was old. He gaslighted me and approached the situation very unprofessionally.

Jill Lionberger Please listen and do not use this firm. They will rack up large bills without any quality work to support their charges and fees. In a matter of a few months I owed them close to $45,000 and had nothing to show for it. When I asked for consultation with other attorneys or advice my pleas were not followed through with. I ended up settling my own case and my ex-husband took me back to court within a few months. The entire case was a waste and very hard lesson to learn. I was completely taken advantage of.
