Irene Fitach The place is amazing—well-maintained, super professional and courteous staff. The pool area has a spa vibe. I wish only the hours were like from pre-pandemic time until 10pm weekdays. Its tough for me to get in before closing time since I am working almost till 7:30 pm and need 40 min drive to get there.

JB I really like this gym. I come here every morning. It’s well kept, the desk people are friendly and there are a lot of classes offered. My wife loves the yoga. I appreciate being able to pay month to month without a contract, something that’s increasingly rare at huge gym chains.

Rebecca Bathrooms upstairs smell like urine. They should either separate the bathroom into women/men’s or be better at cleaning it. I frequently walk into the toilet seat left up from men. New updates to the gym Involve the typical depressing grey floors, grey walls, bright blinding lights. Ugly wallpaper. Extremely disappointed in this decision. Unsure who approved this basic, boring, overdone new grey trend to be incorporated into the updates.

M K Aqua Tots is a great local swim school that has been recommended by many to us. We’ve been coming since our daughter was about 16 months old. The teachers have gotten better the longer we’ve stayed. Abbie has been a great swim instructor for our daughter for about 2 yrs. Abbie has helped our daughter gain the confidence and courage a young swimmer needs to learn. We also appreciate the extra effort in letting us know about her schedule. Over all a great experience for our now 4yr old.

Carrie Beis Can’t say enough great things about Aqua Totes Wheaton! Our daughter has struggled with swim lessons for years. Particularly putting her face in the water. All of the coach have been amazing working with her but Coach Luke was the best! Not only did he get her to put her face in the water, but she got the ring from the bottom of pool & came up smiling!!!! Thanks Coach Luke!!!

Andrea Pelczar Worst Experience Ever - Do Not Recommend! I can’t even begin to describe how frustrating my experience at this swim school was. After enrolling my child in their program and spending TWO YEARS in an entry-level course, there was absolutely no progress. The school had constant turnover in instructors, which led to a lack of consistency and zero clear guidance on what my child needed to do to move up to any level beyond the entry course. Despite the fact that we invested so much time, we never received any concrete goals or feedback on how to help my child progress. After finally scheduling a 1:1 evaluation lesson, they claimed my child did a great job and was even advanced in many skills. However, they still refused to move him to the next level, which made absolutely no sense. To top it all off, when I tried to use my makeup days to continue the lessons and get him to the next level, they refused to accommodate it. Instead, they required me to make a special trip within a narrow 3-hour window to stop payments and disenroll, or they would continue charging me. This school took zero accountability for their lack of progress and poor customer service. Save yourself the frustration and find a swim school that actually cares about your child’s development and treats you with respect. Highly unprofessional, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Yellow Team My 2 children take guitar and bass lessons with Jerry and enjoy him very much. I like his emphasis on good technique, not just getting the notes correct. Hes upbeat and positive. My children walk out of their lessons, excited to improve. He meets them at their level and then pushes them to do more. I would recommend Jerry to other students wanting lessons.

Chad Hill Jerry Evans School of Music is great! Our son has been taking drum lessons there with Stephen Utterback for 3 years and his skills have grown continuously the entire time. Stephen is a great, engaging instructor that works on teaching the notes, musicality and fundamentals in a fun learning environment. The semester end concerts where they pair other students on different instruments to perform a song as a band are a blast and another great opportunity for musical growth. Our son started school band last year and it has been really easy for him because of his Jerry Evans experience.

Greg Anderson This school is fantastic and they really care about their students. Nick is a great voice teacher. My daughter has learned so much, gained confidence, and her voice continues to get better with her lessons. Highly recommend this school for voice and learning how to play instruments.

Katie Cosek Ms Kathy has been wonderful for my little guy in the beginner room. He’s learned so much from her and has flourished over the past few months. He comes home every day and talks about what he did at school and I’m always in awe over how much he knows for only being 2 years old. I’m so grateful for all the teachers - they truly are wonderful and treat my children like they’re family.

Joseph Stoner We absolutely love Chesterbrook! The staff is caring and passionate about what they do. If our girls are gloomy in the am, the teachers immediately provide comfort and make them feel like they’re right at home. We know they’re in a safe environment, they’re cared for, and they’re encouraged to learn and grow. Our kids have absolutely adored every teacher they’ve had so far (been there almost two years). The daily updates and photos are a great way to see our kids being themselves and having a good time. We’re so grateful for the love and support Chesterbrook gives our family!

(16) Reviews Clare Woods Academy:

Jaclyn I want to give this school a good review, but I cant. I felt welcomed in the beginning, & then there was discimination (that wasnt addressed) towards my family at the end. This school doesnt know how to handle situations, & just expells (without trying to solve the problem). Expelling isnt how to solve a problem, it just makes it worse. Clare Woods picks favorites, & chooses to discriminate. Discrimination is NOT OK. When you share your concerns with the school, they deny it, & say it didnt happen. When you share your concerns with the school, they also ignore it. When the school asks you for advice about your child, they continue to trigger ur child on purpose, & keep doing it. I felt like I was walking on egg shells with Clare Woods Academy. Having trust for these schools today, is very hard to do, you want to trust them, but then here are some reasons why schools cant be trusted. It really makes me question, if this school really has their certificates, & degrees to their jobs. Beware IF your child IS recieving services, I can assure you, your child ISNT recieving the proper services. I can go on about what I observed, but Clare Woods Academy FAILS to solve ANY problems, so I would be waisting my time. Do yourself a favor, & go to another school. Clare Woods Academy truly doesnt understand Autism. Clare Woods Academy is definately NOT educators in learning, or being a roll model (quite the opposite). Clare Woods Academy is only about image, & CWA is VERY unprofessional. When people on the Adminstration Side quit, & they quit bc, of racial discrimination, then you can understand why (I give chances, but this school needs a review). I had to report to the Board of Education, & Office of Civil Rights.

John Blaze So my kid jonathan goes to school here and they have a Halloween parade every year and I brought him a sonic hoodie for his costume because my son doesn’t like masks so I was only able to get him to wear the sonic costume hoodie I made sure he had it on when he went to the bus so I went to the parade ready to take pictures of my son with his costume on he walks right past me with only his tee shirt on and not the hoodie costume 1 why was my son outside with no hoodie or coat on and it’s 62 degrees outside with the wind blowing that was the whole point of him having the costume on to keep him warm and for him to have a costume like the rest of the kids they just got my son outside in the cold and he just got done being sick and 2 when I told his teacher about the situation she said she would put it on him the second time they walk around the building when he came back he had it on and didn’t even zip up the hoodie so you couldn’t see the design on the hood of the hoodie just threw it on him any type of way I’m very mad and furious with the school and teacher the lack of awareness is unreal I understand we all have bills to pay but pay attention to your students outfits and stop bringing kids outside without a coat just having my son walk with his classmates with no costume making him feel left out when that wasn’t the case and didn’t even get a class picture because he didn’t have his costume on what a waste of my time and my kids time

Elizabeth Cooper-Mullin We were here for 1.5 years and only left because we moved. The staff are professional, thoughtful, caring, supportive, and warm. Our son started at 7 months and left just after turning 2- he loved going to "school" every day, and was always so well cared for. The center is run by a thoughtful director who works hard to ensure a happy and healthy environment for children. If we hadnt moved, we never would have left. It was truly spectacular (and the app soothed our nerves as first time parents sending their baby to daycare!).

Danielle Salmon Nothing but great things to say about BH Wheaton. My family has had experiences in the nursery, toddler room, young preschool and preschool classrooms and we have been so grateful for the level of care our children receive. The teachers are very compassionate and do their absolute best to ensure the children’s needs are met. The classrooms are clean and thoughtfully organized respective to the children’s ages. The outside play areas are very spacious and safely gated in. The leadership at this location is very responsive to parents and are always very involved in the day to day needs of the classrooms. My children love it here and have formed great relationships with other children at the center. I highly recommend this center to others in this area.

Kristan After reading the reputation and feedback of Bright Horizon. I had enrolled my child to Wheaton Location. This location does not stand up to the reputation and the money we pay for day care. They do not have big enough table that whole class can have activities together. Kids are sitting in separate tables and doing different activities. During closing time kids are dressed up at 5:00 and lined up at door for pickup. As if they are getting released from some prison. We have enrolled my child at other locations there my child was happy and was willing to go again. I feel this location is taking advantage of COVID situation and making kids time unhappy. I will not suggest this location to anyone for their kids

Lisette Inez Lambropoulos I went on a tour yesterday and unfortunately I wont be enrolling my son the first red flag was I never recieved the conformation email with the address even though I asked for it I viewed the daycare yesterday and I heard one teacher screaming on the top of her lungs yelling at children it made me feel uncomfortable what was more concerning was I was in the room with the director and she ignored her yells we were down the hall and could hear her screaming she said she was going to send me an email for the enrollment link never recieved that either the directors room was very messy with food everywhere it just seemed extremely unstructured and any child should not be getting screamed at for these reasons I will be having to go to Kiddie academy

Bonnie Loder Our daughter started going to this Kindercare when she was 6 months old, which was 1 1/2 years ago. We love her teachers and the directors, and she does, too. The children do art activities, learn to sing songs, count, share with their friends, and more. Parents receive photos and information throughout the day about naps, meals, and bathroom, so I feel in-the-loop when I pick her up. On mornings when I drop her off, it helps to see her walk into her classroom and feel immediately at home with her teachers and little friends. I cant speak highly enough of the directors and teachers at this center.

Tracy Venuti St John’s preschool is amazing! All of the teachers and assistants truly care about the students! You can see that with how they interact with the kids. There is not one bad thing that I can say! You can feel the love when you walk into the building! St Johns really helps the kids know about the love that Jesus has for them and helps them form a love for Jesus. They help spark curiosity and a love of learning. I would recommend St John’s preschool to anyone with small children.

Cortney Claus We could not be happier with our experience at St. John Preschool. Our oldest child is quiet and shy, and we were a little nervous about the adjustment to the classroom. The teachers at St. John were, in a word, amazing. Their genuine passion for developing children - academically, socially and spiritually - is remarkable. The two years our daughter spent at St. John, in preschool and then pre-K, were invaluable in preparing her for kindergarten. Now our other kids cannot wait to get to St. John each morning!

A Dierich Bereans Learning Center and Daycare is absolutely amazing and I would highly recommend. My youngest son attended from birth - 5yr.and was safe, loved, and cared for. This home daycare provides small group care with mixed ages. I love that my son was able to interact with all the different ages but also receive age appropriate, individualized attention as well. He regularly asked when he could go to "school" with his friends and beyond the typical separation anxiety stage, was excited every morning during drop-off. I credit Veronica for his early reading skills and Melvin for my sons advanced readiness for Kindergarten. With two older kids, I have been through the gambit of home daycares and can say that Bereans is well above all our other experiences. I only wish I had found Veronica earlier so that all of my kids would have been able to attend.

Lisa Scott We absolutely loved Bereans Learning Center and Daycare! Our boys were there from age 15 months until they started Kindergarten. Veronica and Melvin provide not just a safe and fun environment, but a home away from home. They offer the perfect mix of play and education that allowed our boys to thrive and develop a true love for learning. Everything from making their first friends to learning to write, do basic math, read sight words, and even play chess! Bereans will always hold a special place in our hearts. We know it has helped to build a strong foundation for our youngsters and highly recommend it for anyone looking into an in-home daycare!

Maggie Hayes Our daughter was with Bereans from when she was 3 months old to one and a half, when we sadly moved out of town. Veronica and Melvin cared for her as if she was their family, she loved seeing them and her friends every day. Theyve created a really enriching environment adapted for all pre-K ages with lots of reading, puzzles, music, dancing, crafts, outdoor activities, and creative fun. We are so happy with how much she learned from the older children. We would highly recommend Bereans Learning Center for anyone in the Wheaton area looking for a warm and friendly home environment to care for their children.
