jason szatkowski No communication with faculty in this school. We just moved to town. We sent our child in for a screening. At that time we were told no problem getting him into the classes we needed. Fill out all the paperwork and get all required documents to them and they come to tell us they can not accommodate our child.

Nicole Feezel My son attended Verda Dierzen Early Learning Center for Kinder. His teacher was Mrs. OBrien, he is now in 1st grade and does not attend the school anymore. I cant say enough good things about his teacher. Her methods work and shes 5 steps ahead of the kiddos plans! Shes able to give each child such independent time and make everyday a great learning experience. The school overall is good, i like the pick up methods on the days that I picked my son up from school, it was easy. I cannot comment on drop off because i have never done that, he always rode the bus. I will say that i wish i knew about full day preschool. My son didnt attend preschool because his daycare was out of district. His daycare did NOT have any type of "preschool" and I was driving out of my way to another town to accomodate being able to work, for years! If i had known it was an option at all, my son could have not only been able to do preschool (besides at home) but not be in a non-structured daycare. Unfortunately, it was all that was avaluable. Overall, school was great, tons of information, kept parents involved and in the loop, tons of opportunity to volunteer, tons of events. They contacted me ASAP when someone attempted to pick up my son, that wasnt me (dont worry, he was safe) but the measure of security made me feel safe! I HIGHLY recommend this school AND if you get Mrs OBrien... Youre darn lucky!

Moni Mon My child kept getting hurt and the teachers just never knew why. They didn’t seem to care either. My child is worth more than going to a neglectful school.

The staff is very friendly and they have great communication with the parents about everything. I highly recommend HOC to anyone looking for a great day care in the McHenry County Area.

Frankie Elias Great place to bring your children! The staff/employees are excellent people. My daughter is in the pre-k room there’s always projects in her cubby from the activities they do. Also this daycare in the summer takes the kids on field trips or to the movies. Which is great for my eldest son who is 6 because you know at that age they easily get bored.

Corinne Knipp House of Children is fantastic. My son has been attending there for 2 years. The staff is professional, friendly, and caring. They definitely have the best interests of the children in mind in all situations. I would recommend House of Children to anyone who is looking for child care in a positive and safe setting.

Pete Ahlen Because Im a lefty, I generally have to buy online -- a risky enterprise. Dave eased that worry. He understands that when walking into a big box store, us lefties dont have much to choose from and is ready and willing to help. I had a 10 year old Eastman E6OM and having heard an E8, figured it was time for an upgrade. Though E8s are discontinued, Dave worked with me to grab what was likely one of the few lefties available. Eastman was in an uproar over the stupid tariffs which meant delays, but Dave was able to work with their rep to get the instrument shipped here to Texas. Great instrument! Incredible service! He is honest and easy to work with. He stocks a good supply for a tortured Lefty. Wouldn’t hesitate to buy another off him in the future

Our experience has been very positive and we feel so blessed to have found such a caring place for our son. Its definitely a piece of mind when we are away at work.

Olivia Ley If I could give this daycare zero stars I would. My son was one of two babies in class and got a concussion and the teacher could not tell me how all she could say was she heard a thump! Then I asked to see the video footage that they said they had running 24/7 when I toured the center and they told me, "oh that hasnt been working for years" completely unacceptable.
