However, it took us quite some time to find this gem and we are so glad we did! We are so pleased that we don’t even mind the drive from Marion. He receives education on Dental Care and the cost of neglect, which I, as his mother really appreciates. The staff and DMD Goldsberry, are always very kind, relatable, patient, and understanding with him. A mother always appreciates when her child is handled with dignity and care. This place is Superb and flexible! We are pleased!!

Charlene Lawrence As a new client they made you feel like a friend the minute when you walked through their doors and I was greeted with a smile. I felt no pain, numbing shots, didnt hurt even. I had it cleaning and an extraction and I was calm the whole time! I never felt like they rushed me. Ill be back and recommend friends!

Lori Osinga Recently switched dentists and so happy we did. This entire staff is friendly, and helpful. They get you right in to your Appointment Take their time to answer all questions. Everything is thorough, professional and taken care of from cleanings, fillings and future Appointments as well as billing. Literally everything handled for you. You dont even have to stress. The best in the southern illinois area IMO. Kelly, Dr Jones, and Dr Kim are wonderful.

Im a medical dummy, and have a great understanding of my dental plan, and what the current visit as well as the next will be. I travel nearly an hour each way to be seen at this facility, and have no plans to look elsewhere.

Jalen Chaundy I would like to take a moment and share my brief story and appreciation to Dr. Baker & his staff. I have not seen a dentist in close to 12 years - partially due to horrible past experiences with my previous orthodontist, but more so my general lack of responsibility regarding my personal dental hygiene as I grew into middle & high school. Due to such, lack of care overtime of course led to tooth decay and eventually had to face my ever longing fear: meeting a dentist again. I’ve gotta give tremendous kudos & appreciation to Baker & his staff for not only their execution of my root canal and initial diagnosis, but their overall approach and demeanor throughout the process. They understand that not everybody has had a good experience - they don’t sit and scold you like a 5 year old for ‘bad habits’ when you never really know the true reasonings why. They care, they want to see people find relief and find solutions. And I can attest to that 100% with these last two visits. Thank you all very much for your work - I look forward to actually returning to a dentist for once in my life. Highly recommend Dr. Baker & this staff for anyone out there going through a similar scenario in life.

Titania Mason If I could leave no stars I would. Worst dental experience ever. I am unsure of how clean and sanitary the office is as the staff have their dogs present they even let dogs roam through the dental rooms - during my visit while getting a cleaning a huge dog kept climbing on me. The dentist is super quick - too quick which resulted in poor work. I have had repair on a chip tooth done in the early 2000s I went to Jennifer and not only did she replace my repair but she did a poor job with the replacement - my replacement is out of place and immediately after she got done you could feel the roughness behind the tooth as my tooth was not filed correctly. My teeth are in the worst possible shape and I have always had a pretty smile until going to Jennifer’s office - last visit was 2023. I was confirmed that something is fishy with this office after I called requesting my medical records and was told that they can only send my records to another provider that I couldn’t have access to my own records.

Courtney Rose We were recommended Dr. Jennifer E. Mihalopulos office as an LGBTQIA+-friendly practice, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and hurtful. When my trans spouse shared his pronouns (he/him) with a staff member, she responded with, “I use what I use,” then backtracked after he suggested she could at least put a note in his file. Even then, she dismissed it by saying they have a lot of patients and it might be hard to keep track. When I brought up how inappropriate and disrespectful that felt, she became defensive and told me that she has a trans child and the office has a trans employee—yet she continued to misgender my spouse throughout the conversation. While we understand that one person doesn’t represent the entire office, the way this was handled left us feeling unseen and disrespected. For a practice that presents itself as inclusive, this experience fell far short. True inclusivity isnt just about who works there—its about how people are treated. If youre trans, nonbinary, or care about affirming, respectful healthcare, I would not recommend this dentist.

Jaleigh Clark My sister was sent here around 4 am and left around 12 the next day during that time multiple nurses managed to never get her able to shower somewhere while covered in puke and blood. As well brush her teeth.They were rude and incompetent with any questions asked by us her family and her as THE PATIENT. Better yet they ended up sending her over an hour away by FORCED consent with threatening of "medical neglect". My sister also said they were lying and making things up about what she said to make the situation sound worse. I did not feel safe with her there for even a minute alone and I hope no one goes there for long term treatment.

Debbie Boaz Husband had terrible pain from his lumbar #6 hernia. They immediately sent him to x-ray to see if his injury was getting worse. He is scheduled to see neurologist for surgery so they gave him injections for steroids. They sent us home to further wait for surgery and the steroids was a great call as he remained pain free for 4 days. They were very concerned and took him immediately and helped him immensely.

Marquita Bailey Visited the E.D. with my child. The nursing staff was very friendly and tried to help my scared toddler feel safe and comfortable. They introduced themselves and explained the equipment before it was used...you know, like they had experience with small children. The Dr. on call however, was not very friendly. He never bothered to introduce himself, he invited himself into my child personal space without so much as a hello. Then, seemed to talk down to me for bringing my child in because there was nothing he could do. Now, I have a nice bill for 10min of service and being insulted. Thank you to the nursing staff, please continue to be great.

Emily Isom Incompetent and dangerous. I went in struggling with PPD/PPA 9 months postpartum and saw Theresa Johnson. I was not only judged but was told I was just overwhelmed with motherhood and told to put my baby in daycare, stop breastfeeding and sleep train..instead of actually being offered medical help for a chemical and hormonal imbalance. If 0 stars were available, that’s what this practice would receive. Edit to add: my husband was denied a refill on his blood pressure medicine (a medicine he has been on for over a year) by the same practitioner until he was seen. However, they refused to schedule him for an appt before his medicine ran out.

Carolyn ONeill Absolutely incompetent and should not be allowed to practice medicine. "Appalachian ER" staff seriously needs training on how to handle trauma victims and not gaslight them or say physical assault is ok. I would recommend anyone who needs help to drive as far as needed away from this place. Happy to follow up with details and documentation to anyone who is interested. I will not be bullied by a so called health care provider. Edited to add: the so called Manager will argue, deny, insult and gaslight you to protect their employees. Beware. You have been warned.

Lindsay Marcella (Marcy) I have been here several times and I have been very pleased with the service that I have received here. The last time I visited I had my teeth x-rayed and cleaned. I was extremely impressed with the way I was treated. As I said I have always been happy with the care and the work. Everyone I have met there goes above and beyond in their treatment and service. My last visit was even better than that! They even went to the trouble of getting my insurance to accept them so I would get top coverage from my insurance provider. You just can not beat that!
