Gia Marie They have a very friendly staff, but a poorly trained worker did a horrendous job on my mothers hair. My mother came into their establishment wanting a beach wave perm, and thats not what she came out with. One of the workers named Anareli over-processed her hair. She left the rollers on for too long and completely damaged her hair. Not kidding; its so frizzy and burnt. Anareli then cuts her hair after the perm, even giving her bangs. She butchered her hair. Cut it so extremely short. My mother asked her NOT to cut it short, and she definitely did NOT want bangs. "I have to cut the damaged hair," Anareli said. Her work already damaged my mothers hair, so there was no need to cut it and make her hair so uneven. Sadly, she also brushed and washed her hair after the perm as well. Which is exactly what youre NOT supposed to do at all. Anareli is not experienced to be doing perms. She clearly had no clue what she was doing with my mothers hair. Imagine this: Your hair length pasts your shoulders. You then get a perm at a salon, but they completely burn it, making it frizzy, and cut your hair at neck length, not to mention they completely uneven your hair. A damaged Karen haircut with bangs. Word of advice, if you dont know how to do a perm, leave that persons hair alone. If you want a professional haircut done, save your hair and go somewhere else.

Joseph Castillo This salon is great! Anareli did an incredible Brazilian blowout for me! I especially appreciate her patience when it came to my very curly hair, and she taught me quite a lot about hair care in the process too. All the staff were nice and professional as well. And they even have snacks and coffee for you during your wait or long appointments. Easy 5 stars

Rosa is absolutely amazing she does my waxing, and each time it’s less painful. They really take their time with their clients and that to me is worth the experience. I Highly recommend this place

I showed her a picture, and she matched it perfectly. Modern, with layers, and bangs. You don’t have to pay excessive prices like at other salons to get excellent service with her. Plus, she’s so nice!

Stacy Jaffe Mimi did a wonderful job giving me a layered bob. It was a little shorter than the picture I showed her... but it turns out I love what she did even more! She cuts hair dry and works in stages. My hair is thinning at the back of my head, and her cut gave me so much more volume and a real style. Plus... I almost always air dry my hair and it still looks so nice. I highly recommend her.

Sonja Anderson Walked in without an appointment and got a great haircut! I gave a short description of what I wanted and showed her a picture (trim + soft layers + face-framing long bangs). She did exactly that. $40, dry cut.

Marnee Ostoa I have been coming to Alicia for about a year now to color my hair. I had gotten a split hair dye and had been trying out different hair salons (ranging from inexpensive to very expensive) around Pilsen to find a good colorist. I jumped around every month struggling to find someone who wouldn’t mess up my split hair dye. Finally, I found Alicia’s hair salon and Alicia is the best. She was so thorough with the bleaching process, making sure the line in my split dye was straight and she made sure my blonde side and black side were exactly the color I wanted. I was so impressed by her technique and professionalism that I decided I would never go to anyone else. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with Alicia if you want quality and high-end results. To top it all off, her prices are the best around the area. Don’t waste your money at other gentrified ‘high end’ establishments in the area, book your hair appointment with Alicia!

Megan Batten Overpriced and poorly coordinated. Came here months ago for a cut and color, but was so traumatized by the bad cut I havent gotten a haircut ANYWHERE since. Have just been growing it out. Color was fine and colorist was great - however scheduled my haircut (which I communicated beforehand was basically just a gloss) with an hour and a half between that and my hair cut. Clearly because of the bad planning, they dried my hair and straightened it before my cut (I have curly hair as well so this didnt make sense to me). My cut was the worst hair cut Ive ever gotten. Paid no attention to the shape of my face and what would suit me well nor did it look anything like I requested. The cut was a dry cut which turned out terrible. Left with all of the layers basically cut out of my hair and a hair fit for a middle aged woman...not a 26 year old. Staff were not super friendly, didnt even ask if I wanted to rescheduled . Felt rushed out of salon. Ive always paid close to around $350 for a cut and color...however this was the worst cut and color Ive ever gotten in my life and it was over $500. Ladies if youre young and want a fun flattering haircut and a stylist that will listen to you and respect you - avoid this place at all costs!!!

Gigi Halomi Talented individuals definitely work here but I would skip because they price gouge… it is crazy that you can be charged $300 for highlights and that does not include a blow out… I just can’t anymore.

Jacqueline Urban Matt has been doing my hair for almost 2 years now, and I will never be going to anyone else. He listens and knows how to work with different types of hair to get the color results you want and is realistic with you on what can be achieved. I have never left that salon unhappy with my result. He has also saved me after a coloring/haircut disaster that happened somewhere else, which I think shows his true understanding of color and hair. Honestly cannot say enough good things about his hair care, would recommend him to anyone.

I went in unsure of what I wanted but she knew the blonde shade that matched my features best and I loved the results! I also found the price very reasonable. Amela cuts my hair and not only does she have incredible skill, but her attention to detail is truly top-notch. Ive had several traumatic, botched cuts in the past by stylists who havent understood the nuances of cutting curly hair. Amela has always made me feel comfortable and taken the time to understand exactly what I wanted. Shes very personable as well and I refuse to let anyone else touch my hair. I don’t wear much makeup usually and she provided friendly, professional consultation as I decided what I wanted. On the day of, the four of us (mother of bride, 2 bridesmaids, and me the bride) all felt 100% satisfied with our looks. She was also a fun presence to have in getting ready with my crew. Kimberly W. This place is awesome! The ambience is perfect: soothing music, warm table and she is an excellent massage therapist. She knows the muscles and how to work on them properly and effectively. I highly recommend her! Suite 19. Also, the barber on the premises, Montez, is fantastic! Very good at his craft, and knows how to give a woman a great, precise barber cut with out it looking too hard. He is highly recommended as well. Suite 16. Love this place! Its a one-stop shop!

Vanessa Luna My experience with Vera was AMAZING! I came in after not having a haircut in over a year with super long hair and very dry brittle ends. This was my first time coming here and I walked out feeling unrecognizable. Seriously, my dead ends were gone, and my hair felt beautiful and healthy again. Vera took her time, to cut, style, and inform me about better products to use on my hair and genuinely showed that she cared about her work. Care like this is what makes a business earn loyal customers. The products she used also smelled so good! I will definitely be coming back.

Vera was super helpful throughout the entire process. She asked questions about the reference photos and made suggestions based on what would work best with my hair, which I always appreciate. She took her time with it and made sure it was exactly how I wanted it. The pricing was surprisingly affordable compared to what I’ve paid for in the past for the same services, especially for how nicely it turned out. Happy to have found my new go to salon!

Alecia G. Very unprofessional. I booked a lash lift 3 weeks in advance. Two days before my appointment the owner Xiya texts me saying the appointment is canceled because Anna no longer works there. But my appointment was booked with Xiya (the owner) and NOT Anna, so why is the appointment canceled? She didn’t even offer an apology for the cancellation. Not a great way to treat a repeat customer. Now I’m left scrambling to find lashes elsewhere before I leave town for my birthday. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Ashley D This person is very rude and not attentive at all. Was disregarding everything that I was trying to say and basically rushed through my appointment without waxing everything off. She even left the white powder on me and was just sloppy with the whole thing. When it came time to pay during checkout, she didn’t ask me how the service was or anything but was preoccupied with scrolling on her phone. I’m glad I didn’t tip because the lack of customer service and aftercare was ridiculous. Definitely don’t plan on coming back.

Alli M Anna is absolutely amazing. I had tried multiple studios in Chicago until I found Anna. My eyelashes have never looked more perfect than when I leave this studio. I could not recommend A&A Beauty Studio more!!

Megan Zeutenhorst I have been getting my lashes done for many years and have been to a fair amount of different places for it, Anna at A&A Beauty Studio is by far the best I’ve ever had at doing my lashes! I get so many compliments on them, they look full and voluminous without looking obviously fake or clumpy, she pays so much attention to detail, each individual lash, my lashes always look perfect when she does them and it’s obvious she does not cut corners. My lashes somehow just keep looking better days and days out from going to her, and they still look good about three weeks out when I go in for my next appt, they don’t fall out in crazy looking clumps like at some places. I would highly recommend her to anyone, she is worth every cent and I literally adjust my schedule to make sure I can see her. Thank you, Anna!

Noni C My review is late now but I DO NOT recommend this place at ALL!! Extremely unprofessional. I waited over an hour in two different occasions to get my brows done because the only person that did eyebrows was still home. I was so disappointed when I went to go cut my hair. If you don’t know the techniques of a hair cut simply just say so, don’t try something you don’t know on a client.

Jasmine Pinon The woman cut my hair real nice, but had no idea how to wax eyebrows. It was a long and painful process. I dont know why she didnt ask someone more experienced to do them. Either way, my hair looks cute.

Amelia Santa Cruz I love this salon. Al does a wonderful job. I’m always getting compliments on how good my hair looks. Edit: I used to love this salon. I made an appointment to have my bangs touched up, a service they have always offered for free since I get my hair cut there. Upon walking in I was told by Al he didn’t have time for me. His wife had to come out and explain I had called and made an appointment. I should have left. He proceeded to talk to another client about how annoying it was to do work where he didn’t make a lot of money then bragged about buying luxury cars for all his children, which they then totaled. He punished them by buying them more cars? He was rude while cutting my bangs and then proceeded to charge me $15 telling me it would have been free if I get my hair cut there…which I have multiple times. Very rude and bad service. I don’t care how good you are at what you do, I don’t deserve to be treated like human garbage and charged for it because you’re having a bad day. Other reviews make sense now and I won’t be back.

Lili Sahakyan Fantastic salon and superb professionals! They know what they are doing, from the haircut to styling to color. They also teach you how to blow dry your hair, what products are good vs. not good for YOUR TYPE of hair. Very personalized approach. My only regret is that I don’t live close enough to Chicago to visit them more often. However, I plan my trips around this salon so I use an opportunity to pamper myself in their services. All their staff is super friendly, making you feel at home, while also holding high professional standards and boundaries. I love Zeza salon! Bridget McGrath I have been going to Zeza Hair and Salon for over two years now. I have worked both with Al and Tarik, co-owners, and Rena, salon specialist. I have always been treated with respect, received high quality care and often receive compliments on my haircut immediately upon leaving the salon. The salon is bright, well maintained, and all staff are professional, warm and welcoming. They work around my hectic schedule and are always willing to find a mutual time that works. I would highly recommend their services.

Erin Matthews Arlana is outstanding in every way. Luxury feel of her office, spa music, always on time, ease of making appointments and highest quality facials. My face stays clear for weeks after with all the advanced technology and leading menu of options. I also buy her anti aging products to keep my face looking glowy and refreshed.

Bruce Lester i went here expecting to get a number 2 cut only on the sides and back, but when the barber showed me the morror the number 2 wasnt just on the back it was also on 1/5 of the top of my hair. i have been gorwing my hair for 8 months then the barber ruins it. im most likely not going to go here anymore

Mina Kim I don’t know much about haircuts, but I do know that feeling of satisfaction when you have the haircut you wanted and you walk out feeling amazing, that was not today. Okay, the hairdressers are nice don’t get me wrong. But the lady that did my hair was not focused on my hair the whole time. She was either watching the tv, adjusting the tv volume. My hair was cut too short, on one side it was choppy while on the other, looked decent. By decent I mean not layers. I saw another review saying that the hairdresser cut the hair how they want it. And boy were they right. Yes, they might have cheap prices, but boy are the haircuts bad. I was so excited about my haircut, I should have waited it out or gone to some other place. I tried to look at the bright side of the haircut. It wasn’t working. I tried convincing myself that it was good. She did however remove a lot of hair which is what I wanted, but not in the way I wanted. But hey, we all learn from our mistakes. I hope that this review finds them well. Nicole Adela is phenomenal and her space is aesthetically pleasing. She makes every client feel like family and provides a very cozy home environment for your service. She also provides toiletries for women which I found to be a cute little touch! I have only gotten a hair cut in Des Moines 3 times in the 16 years Ive lived there. I dont know what I would do without her and her daughters. We even tried to convince them to move to Iowa. Everytime I leave there I am smiling from ear to ear. And the price!!!! WoW! A hair cut can be $20 for crap in Iowa or $45 and up FOR A CUT NO STYLE NO DRY if you want the quality you get at this salon! Thank you ladies!

Cutty Escobales After going over there for years and having great haircuts, now the customer service has changed. Even though you call the day before, you have to wait for hours. I feel discriminated. I’m done. I’m not going back there.

Anna Gonzalez This review is a bit late but I definitely wanted to give one. I went to get a cut and color a little before Christmas and OMG...I will never go to another spot!!! I have NEVER went to a salon and came out with a haircut I absolutely loved! I felt welcomed and very comfortable. I actually need a touch up on my roots so I need to stop by soon! Do NOT pass this salon up... it is worth giving your money to this small business and not the WAY overpriced places that are along the way in the neighborhood.

Lisa Lopez This was my first time getting a haircut here and I Love it!!! The hair stylists are wonderful and I am very pleased with how my hair turned out. My hair is usually hard to style and even after washing it, I love that my hair still looks good, usually I need to style it and I love that now I can just wake up and be ready for my day. I recommend you check it out!
