FFC South Loop - Chicago
Joce: I’ve seen a decline in the hospitality at this location. The previous management was welcoming and friendly. The moment I signed up for membership I’ve felt hostility from Ramie. Other members are greeted and I’m completely ignored as I’m entering the gym. The front desk and housekeeping are truly amazing. They are the true backbones of this facility and under appreciated. For this reason, I am not interested in continuing my membership. If am going to invest into a luxury gym membership, I expect the hospitality to be top tier especially from the GM. 11/29/2025 As I’m walking and talking with a gym partner, Ramie comes out of her office in full view of me purposely almost bumping into me and instead of apologizing just tells me to have a great day. Given the direction that she was coming from, she had full view of me . This felt very intentional and aggressive. I go to the front desk to let her know that that interaction was very rude and it made me uncomfortable She immediately says that I’ve already said I’ve taken many things personal and directs me to go talk to Sharon ( who seemed to not care). my main issue with this interaction is that I am not entering an establishment to be aggressive towards one to intimidate someone and I expect the same thing. By neither Ramie or sharron was I apologized too. I was just told to have a great day so be careful if you write a negative review or give feedback about this manager as she will be hostile or might even hit you
FFC Gold Coast - Chicago
FFC Gold Coast
Cristian Bueno: Still new to Chicago but have thoroughly enjoyed this FFC location! Equipment is always clean and well maintained, staff is super nice. Personally haven’t done any of the classes but hearing from other members, it seems they’re very popular and the trainers are very good. Would highly recommend this location.
Trump Chicago Fitness Center - Chicago
Dana Yates: This gyms got that downtown luxury vibe—floor-to-ceiling windows with killer views of the river and lake. The equipments top-notch, and the 75-foot heated pool is a nice touch. Locker rooms come with eucalyptus steam rooms and dry saunas, which is a solid way to unwind. Only gripe? Sometimes it feels a bit too posh, and the vibe can be a tad uptight. But if youre looking to work out with a view, this spot delivers.
Studio Fit Chicago - Chicago
Veronica Kraizman: I signed up for 1 month trial, looking to improve my exercise routine and to find new ways to keep my body healthy and good looking. The atmosphere at the studio is very friendly and family like. At the same time you get a very experienced, knowledgeable personal trainer, who creates your personalized routine. Reyna is making sure that your routine not only perfectly fits you, but also it gets constantly revised based on the progress you are making. I highly recommend Studio Fit Chicago.

Kell K.: Just started a one-year full-time student membership and I’m loving it! Nobody hogs equipment, people are considerate of their surroundings, and are consistent with wiping down equipment after each use. I also appreciate the amount of space in this gym— you never feel cramped in a corner when you’re working out. I love the tall ceilings + windows. If you’re interested, you can tour the place with one of the managers anytime— someone’s always around to give a tour + answer questions. You also get a free workout to try it out! I highly recommend doing so :)
Lakeshore Sport & Fitness - Chicago
Tom Fenninger: I love this gym so much. It’s MASSIVE and never super crowded so there are always available machines. The locker rooms are nice and huge and I love taking advantage of the lap pool. They really care for their members and have a full calendar of athletic and social events for members to get to know one another. I haven’t taken advantage of any classes or the spa but I plan to. Love it here!
UIC Sports & Fitness Center - Chicago
Stacky Line: DON’T COME HERE if you’re coming for the dance rooms. Staff told me I had to rent and pay for the room every time, even as a student who comes alone. What’s the point of paying for a >$50 membership if I can’t use the only facility I paid for? Makes no sense to me. I bought the membership ONLY for the dance room and to be told this news is extremely upsetting. I’ve been here multiple times by myself now and I’ve never heard of this. Asked front desk for clarification and they said I have to pay student org rental price for the rooms? Which doesn’t make sense because I am not a student org. He said he will talk to the managers about it but I would recommend to go to SCE on UIC’s East Campus for dance rooms. Their dance rooms are open to membership holders if there are no events going on. Will not be returning again.
Anytime Fitness - Chicago
Kathryn Brest: I’ve been going here for about 6 months and it’s been great. The place is always clean and management is good at getting things fixed in a timely manner. I love that there’s 24/7 access available, makes it really easy to fit a workout into busy schedule whenever I can.
East Bank Club - Chicago

karina k: If you join as a couple, it is a lot cheaper than paying $275 per person and if it’s a couple is $455 for two people. The location is beautiful because it’s right on the river and you can suntan on the roof and lots and lots of people going swimming so it will be more of a social gathering benefit Jim in some ways. But seriously this place is massive and you will find everything you need here. The location is beautiful however, the closest blue line station is grand and it’s about a .8 mile walk from the CTA. And there is really not much parking here unless you are lucky to find street parking or street metered parking.
CrossTown Fitness - West Loop - Chicago
Kiera Suwyn: I appreciate that Crosstown offers childcare and it is the reason I have been consistent for the last year. The classes are challenging and engaging. The trainers are encouraging and no two classes are ever the same.
