He took the time to assess my piece with honesty and fairness, to the point where he recommended I try selling on eBay or online to make more money than what he would offer. I reached out again because I hadn’t wrote down any of the details for the online posting, and without hesitation he told me to stop back in, and he would write down a title and description for the piece. 5 /5 Kate R: Gabe was amazing, not only did he walk me through the process of pricing the gold and went by the most current market prices; he actually let me see the testing process! Which was so cool as he explained everything! I had a lot of mystery metals from a side quest I went on a few years back; and he tested them all for free! He spent over an hour checking these tiny antique academic pins. There must have been at least over a hundred. He was meticulous. Unfortunately for him I found more when I got home. Im excited to go back, hes so knowledgeable and welcoming. I have to admit I did call him twice before I showed up. Once I called to ask about the testing of metal, because I neck deep in organizing my hoard of treasures, and again because I had no idea what to do with a spool of copper wire. While he doesnt accept copper wire, he knew what to do with it. He told me to check the price of copper before taking it anywhere, so I wouldnt get lowballed. That right there speaks to his character. I knew then I was definitely going to his shop.

I asked around before choosing a jewelers, because its risky to hand an expensive piece over to strangers. Everyone I spoke to recommended Oak Park Jewelers. Today I brought the ring in and was instantly reassured by Ella and Sammi. They asked the right questions, listened to me reminisce a bit, and called me back within 2 hours as promised. I got a reasonable estimate for replacing the missing stone, as well as retipping the prongs that needed retipping. (Not all of them need it.) I appreciated everything about the honest and genuine service I received today. I look forward to wearing my favorite piece of jewelry again within the next 7-10 days. Im sure the stone with be carefully chosen to match the other six, and all the diamonds will be safely and beautifully mounted. Thank you, ladies, for your assistance! Update: My ring is gorgeous. I cant tell which stone was replaced!

I bought the diamond ring that I proposed with to my now wife on Valentines day last year. This review is about a year overdue, but let me tell you. I initially started my diamond ring hunt at the end of 2020. Since it was during the peak of pandemic and with all the travel restrictions going in-person to stores were not an option. So, I searched tons of jewelers on the internet and I finally learnt about SFJ through a friends recommendation. I was surprised to know the amount of diamond ring designs and collections they have, in comparison to other big jewelry brands. Their customer reps are very knowledgeable. They are one of the best jewelers that I have come across. He answered every questions that I had over a video conference call. They can pretty much explain the whole end-to-end process right from sourcing the diamond to getting the right insurance after the purchase. They listened to my requirements patiently and recommended the best design and quality of the diamond stone that suited my needed. They also provided me with tons of high resolution images of the sample designs that helped me choose the ring and the diamond. The best part at SFJ is is the custom engraving. They were able to do the engraving on the tiny ring in a language that I needed (Kannada) which no other jeweler was capable of doing in the time frame I had. They worked very respectfully to only show options of the ring and the diamond stone within the budget I gave initially. I am convinced that they could have showed me the ring 10 times the price outside my budget, and I would still choose mine because it is that perfect. The overall process was done in two weeks after confirming the order. Once the order was placed, I was constantly updated about the making process how far they are from shipping. The delivery was an overnight shipment from Chicago to California with a special message. And on the day I proposed, he even checked with me to make sure my now wife liked it. Thanks to SFJ for making our life changing event so special. I would definitely recommend Sonit Fine Jewelry. Updated: My wife surprised me with a ruby stone ring from SFJ for me this year 2022 Valentines day! Extra five more stars!!
