We explored multiple big name jewelers row shops for my custom engagement ring and when looking for a more local owned shop, I found Holtzmann’s from a TikTok post and decided to stop by. The owners are so nice and fellow Michiganders. We had a personable experience and I was always so excited to come in and talk with them. My ring came out better than I could’ve imagined! We can’t wait to come back for our wedding bands. I highly recommend them for any type of jewelry as they have some really pretty pieces in their cases as well!

We showed them our Pinterest board, and they came up with a plastic mold that I got to try on. After a couple of revisions here and there, they gave us our ring and we love it! We would definitely recommend them!

After looking online and at a couple of different ‘big box’ type jewelry stores for an engagement ring and just not finding what we wanted, we decided we wanted to go the route of having a custom ring made, and so we ended up at Holtzmann’s. Pam and Pat Holtzmann are the most phenomenal folks around. When you’re in their store, you feel like family. They are super friendly, and made you feel comfortable from the get-go. They are both super patient, and they really take the time to educate you on different stones, and different aspects of design to help make sure that you’re creating a jewelry piece that will last a lifetime with proper care. We ended up having my engagement ring and my husband‘s wedding ring made by them, and then after having my husbands wedding ring made, I ended up wanting to make a more feminine, mini-version of his ring to be able to wear myself as well, and they helped us make that too. The quality of the jewelry pieces we received is outstanding, and working with Pam and Pat was the same. We valued getting to work with them so closely on pieces we plan to wear a lifetime! Although we had rings made, Holtzmann’s specializes in all types of custom jewelry. We happened to pop into the store at the tail end of another couple leaving who had the most beautiful custom bracelet made, and at another visit saw someone picking up a necklace that they had redesigned with stones from a different necklace they no longer wore anymore. All of those jewelry pieces were amazing too. 10/10 recommend for whatever your jewelry needs are!!

Kiran Prakash: I could not be more happier with the overall experience that I personally had with Sonit Fine Jewelry (SFJ). I bought the diamond ring that I proposed with to my now wife on Valentines day last year. This review is about a year overdue, but let me tell you. I initially started my diamond ring hunt at the end of 2020. Since it was during the peak of pandemic and with all the travel restrictions going in-person to stores were not an option. So, I searched tons of jewelers on the internet and I finally learnt about SFJ through a friends recommendation. I was surprised to know the amount of diamond ring designs and collections they have, in comparison to other big jewelry brands. Their customer reps are very knowledgeable. They are one of the best jewelers that I have come across. He answered every questions that I had over a video conference call. They can pretty much explain the whole end-to-end process right from sourcing the diamond to getting the right insurance after the purchase. They listened to my requirements patiently and recommended the best design and quality of the diamond stone that suited my needed. They also provided me with tons of high resolution images of the sample designs that helped me choose the ring and the diamond. The best part at SFJ is is the custom engraving. They were able to do the engraving on the tiny ring in a language that I needed (Kannada) which no other jeweler was capable of doing in the time frame I had. They worked very respectfully to only show options of the ring and the diamond stone within the budget I gave initially. I am convinced that they could have showed me the ring 10 times the price outside my budget, and I would still choose mine because it is that perfect. The overall process was done in two weeks after confirming the order. Once the order was placed, I was constantly updated about the making process how far they are from shipping. The delivery was an overnight shipment from Chicago to California with a special message. And on the day I proposed, he even checked with me to make sure my now wife liked it. Thanks to SFJ for making our life changing event so special. I would definitely recommend Sonit Fine Jewelry. Updated: My wife surprised me with a ruby stone ring from SFJ for me this year 2022 Valentines day! Extra five more stars!!

The owner took time to help me with a broken piece of jewelry and explained to me how to properly care for my crucifix necklace Ive had for over 25 years. He also looked over another piece of jewelry I wasnt sure about and he told me that everything looked good with it. What impressed me the most was how patient and kind he was to my daughter. She is 11 years old and full of questions. He taught her a lot about jewelry in the short time we were there. Did I mention how shiny and pretty everything looks when you walk into their store? Great place! I highly recommend you check it out when youre in downtown Effingham enjoying the small town Christmas atmosphere!
