1 /5 Alicia Arroyo: I will never eat at McDonald’s again! I hope you get fired!!!!
Today I placed my order and the guy at the first window dropped $.20 of my change on the floor. He was a large man. And it seemed like he had trouble moving. He asked if I really wanted my change? I replied yes please. Then he asked me three more times if I still wanted my change. And I replied again yes please
Then I got to the second window. The lady hand me my drink. Then she opens the window again to tell me that they don’t have any pies ready, but it will be 12 minutes. Do I want to wait or do I want to refund? I told her I will wait for the pie. So then I sat there for a minute. And she opened the window again and told me I needed to pull up. I said no. I didn’t want to pull up. I explained to her that the last time I was there I pulled up and waited for about 45 minutes before I got my order. I actually had to wait for them to get it corrected multiple times when I pulled up too. So I said I will just wait here. Then a couple more minutes go by and a manager or somebody comes in and they yell at me and tell me I need to either pull up or get a refund. I said I just want the pie and I would like to wait here because I don’t want to be forgotten about. Then he said he was going to call the police on me if I did not pull forward. I said well that’s kind of ridiculous. I said do whatever you want. I paid for my pie and I am waiting for it. Then he tries to hand me my money back and tell me that he’s not cooking the pie. I asked why not. And he said because I would not pull up. And I said all I paid for it and I would like it to wait. He said it’s going to take too long to cook. It’s going to take 12 minutes. Again I said I was fine with waiting 12 minutes not a big deal. All this was in a calm manner. Then the next thing I know the police show up. A full 12 minutes has not passed during this time. The police get there and tell me that I need to either move up or leave the property. I was confused and nobody had to even ask me my side of the story or what was going on. I asked the officer why I needed to pull up. I was just waiting for my food. And he said he was investigating in a crime and that I needed to pull up. Then the second police officer, yes, there were two police officers because this was such a crazy crime. Try to give me the refund through the drive-through window. So I have two police officers yelling at me from both directions. Then them asking why I’m not rolling my window all the way down. Honestly it was a lot to take in all at once. All of this for a pie really? Then the officer tells me that he’s going to write me a ticket for disorderly conduct. I was really confused because I really wasn’t doing anything other than waiting on the food that I ordered. So it seemed a little bit extreme. I told him that the 12 minutes hasn’t even been up yet. Why am I getting a ticket? The officer all he could say was it’s not his fault that McDonald’s has bad service. Really?
I honestly can still not get through my mind what had happened today. I will say that I will never go to any McDonald’s ever again. I have not been to this McDonald’s for quite some time because last time I did wait a full 45 minutes for them to get my order wrong multiple times while I pulled up and waited for them to get it corrected. Honestly, I think I ended up leaving before I ever got my order right. I don’t think I should’ve gotten a police ticket because they didn’t want to fill the order today. I was under the impression that they had the pies and that they were going to make it. I don’t understand why the police were called. Thanks a lot guys. If this is how you want to do business good luck!
For the record I was only offered a refund for my pie, nothing else. I was given no food items. How is this not stealing?
I will also say that I did get a full refund on this order today. A friend got it for me. I left with a coke.
Also shout out to the Shelbyville police. They are really saving lives out there guys.
