Miles Bar N Grill - Garden Prairie (IL)

5 /5 Elle Parker: We spent the last six months at this campground, and one of the biggest surprises was the restaurant right on-site. At first, we expected typical bar food, and yes, they do have the fried favorites, but the owner, who is also a chef, takes it way beyond that. The creativity and quality of the food honestly rival what you’d find in a nice restaurant in town, which is not what you expect when you hear “campground bar.” The drink selection is great, the locals are a blast to hang out with, and the owner quickly went from being the guy behind the counter to being a genuine friend. Between the hospitality, the community vibe, and the food, this place has been a highlight of our stay. We couldn’t recommend it more if you’re passing through or staying at the campground.

4 /5 Dave S: A hidden gem at the campground!! The burgers are the highlight here, my Miles Burger was PHENOMENAL!! We will have to come back for the fish fry. There are 12" and 16" pizzas available too. The sides like fries are $2 extra though, which was a little confusing. It looked like just certain ones on the 2nd line like the salad was extra. Update July 12, 2024: Tried the fish fry and had the Bluegill. Very good!

5 /5 Strange Places: Smash Burgers with the signature sauce is fire. Older, but lively crowd. Coming back one day for drinks. Met the owner, super cool guy, he makes 90% of the food from scratch and everything is fresh! Also free billiards.

4 /5 Shane Van Sickle: Nice enough space, but basically a wide open room with a concrete floor, a (big) bar on the far side and a bunch of tables and chairs that can be removed if needed (the building is part of a campground and maybe serves multiple purposes?). Typical bar fare... We had a loaded baked potato and the poutine. The food was fine. We noticed too late there was a fish fry, which might have made it a different experience.

5 /5 Breanna Shattuck: So thankful we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We were looking to try a new little spot and didnt realize we would find a new favorite! We shared the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls, the Reuben and the Ribs and loved them all. Overall very casual environment with great service from Tim! Thanks for hosting us. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other menu items!
