2 /5 J W: Food tasted old, not homemade, and canned. Chicken and dumplings were flat. Broth weak. The mashed potatoes were good, however the gravy was grainy and tasted old. The baked beans were tangy (in a bad way) and I found a strange tendon-type chunk in my beans. The sweet tea was not homemade and tasted off. Limited menu & breakfast available only til 10 a.m.
The server was good. The atmosphere was great, as we enjoyed all the Elvis and other early Rock paraphernalia. The seats were too close to other tables, the seats themselves were very uncomfortable.
We didnt try dessert, there were flies in the pie display.
Normally we love to back local establishments, perhaps we visited on an off day.. But I think that if I buy a can of soup, and its better than a restaurant, something is awry.
