2 /5 Brittaney McCarthy: We ate here twice while staying at The Wit because we had a $25 daily dining credit for staying at a Hilton property as Gold members, but both visits left us unimpressed with the food and service. The dining area is beautiful and the place has potential, it just hasn’t delivered. The live music was a nice touch as well which elevated the area.
Service was slow despite only four occupied tables and two servers working. Our beignets, which we ordered as a starter didn’t arrive until after our main course. All the food was bland and needed more seasoning. I ordered just a plain pancake, but was charged $17 for the Peach Whiskey Pancake instead, essentially paying that price for a single pancake which I didnt realize until after we payed unfortunately. On top of that, I had to ask for butter for the pancake, which should have come standard. When it came time to pay, we waited at least 15 minutes just to get the bill, and then even longer because they seemed to be training on their only register.
On the positive side, the server we had both times was friendly and polite, but overall attentiveness could improve.
