Sushi Ukai - Wheaton (IL)

2 /5 J VM: I came here today for the first time, and honestly, everything started off great. The ambiance was nice and quiet, the food was delicious, and while my server’s skills were a bit mediocre, the overall experience seemed good at first. Unfortunately, about an hour after eating, I began having stomach pains that turned into diarrhea and a constant urge to throw up. I usually love Sushi Ukai (my go-to location is the one in Glen Ellyn) and I’ll probably stick with that location from now on. Such a bummer. :(

5 /5 Ryan H: Amazing find. Service was great, attentive and friendly. Server suggested some appetizers and all were very good. Hot and sour soup was exceptional. Sushi rolls were all fresh and tasty. Highly recommended!

5 /5 Blake: Finally dined in after getting takeout a bunch of times. Shouldve eaten here sooner! The food is great at home, but man, obviously better there. The service is 10/10, everyone is so kind and the food comes out fast. From soup to sake to sushi, everything is great. Highly recommend. Parking is easy and well definitely be back.

5 /5 Michael Curtis: Great first experience. Had a couple rolls that were well made and a fair price. Edamame was salted throughout, not just on top. Nigiri escolar was very good. Definitely coming back!

5 /5 Samantha: We come here at least once a month! Great sushi and nice staff. Our favorite rolls are the Snow White, Orchid, South Pacific. Definitely worth a try! The Orchid and South Pacific come with no rice and are great options for those limiting their carbs! UPDATE: they added a new appetizer! It’s called Harvest - salmon wrapped around king crab and avocado, topped with spicy salmon and unagi sauce! Great appetizer with no rice involved!! Would recommend!
