5 /5 Jason McGuire: If you ever find yourself in Illinois Amish Country (or within a couple hours), you have to go to Yoders Kitchen in Arthur, IL. There are too many things to choose from so go for the buffet. Every night there are different items (menu is online) but I waited until tonight so I could get all of my favorite comfort foods: broasted chicken, chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans (all of those are on the buffet every day for lunch and dinner) plus pot roast, turkey and dressing, and spaghetti. They also have a huge salad bar, a couple different soups, and a few different cobblers and treats for dessert. There are fresh baked pies also but those are an extra charge. Everything is made from scratch and definitely tastes like eating a Sunday dinner at Grandmas. Everything was delicious; there wasnt a single item I didnt like.
