Jc Perfect Auto Maintenance really lives up to its name. I’ve brought my car in several times now, and every visit has been a positive experience. The staff is friendly, explains everything clearly, and never tries to upsell unnecessary repairs. They’re fast, reliable, and my car always feels brand-new when I pick it up. It’s hard to find a place you can fully trust with your vehicle, but this shop has definitely earned my confidence. Highly recommended for anyone looking for honest and skilled mechanics.

Zach Day Eliot’s was great to work with - timely and fairly priced. I typically do all my own work on my car and brought the right parts with me for installation. Eliot’s team did the labor and installed everything to get me back up and running!

Meredith Whitfield Something is weird at Eliots. After years of taking our car here for straightforward and trustworthy service, we brought it in today for an oil change and inspection and after 4.5 hours (!!) were texted a link to a digital portal that quoted $3000 in services, including a bunch of unnecessary upsells (cabin air filter replacement for $150, a job I can do myself with a $10 part??). Eliot nowhere to be seen. I dont know if theres new management or just a new sales philosophy, but Im sad to say I have real concerns about staying a customer here. Update: I learned that Eliot has retired and sold his business, which explains these unwelcome changes. I’ll be finding a new shop.

Gabrielle Musacchio As a first time customer, I was impressed with the swiftness and ease of scheduling services, follow-up with work analysis, pricing, and timeliness of work! It is not often places are extremely efficient, honest, and reasonable, (and do good work!). The customer service was fantastic; Charlie and George were not only kind and personable, but also very knowledgeable. Charlie was great at walking through service analysis, pricing, as well as triage for urgent concerns. Given the work needed, prices were reasonable and completed same day! I will definitely return to this auto shop for any additional services and recommend this place, especially if you work with Charlie or George!

F O A great find! Had issues with my Jeep and needed a shop in my area. Found Teds, gave them a call talked to Charley. Had me drop it off in the morning and had it back at 4:00pm. Called and explained repairs to be done and why. Price ahead of repair. All professional and friendly. Great place and George (owner) and Charley are great people! And by the way the Jeep is running better than ever. Found my new to go to auto tech. Check them out.

Adia Jumaani My son and I were traveling back to Wisconsin from Texas when our sprinter Van (that we do OTR freight in) got into some trouble on I 50. I googled the nearest auto shop and ran across Duvall’s Automotive shop, which was 2 miles off the interstate. We drove 5 miles per hour off the interstate and down the road to the shop at 730am. When the owner arrived he got us in first and got our van running within 1 and a half hour. They were very nice and professional. I would highly suggest their shop to the locals and anyone traveling. Plus the cost of the repairs was reasonable. We got our wheel bearings, front drivers side rotor and break pads repaired. We are thoroughly satisfied!!

I was originally expecting to be charged a lot more, but he found a way to fix the issue for much less without cutting corners. It’s rare to find someone this reliable and transparent. Orlando Ive visited twice. Just left from my second visit. The service manager answered all my questions and provided helpful recommendations. The service (oil change and vehicle inspection) didnt take long, but I did go on a weekday morning when they opened. Im thinking Ill be making this my go-to auto care location.

Joel Hunt Ive been here twice. First time came for brakes and oil change as well as just an inspection to figure out issues with steering. No issues with the oil and brake service and control arm repair. Very timely and good communication. A couple weeks before I had hit a raccoon and there was a bit of plastic that was flapping around. I didnt ask them to do anything to it, but they neatly zip tied it together. Really took the small extra step to show care. Second I came in for work on the suspension. Told that it would be 1-2 days. I needed the car on the third day. There was an issue with one of the strut replacements and needed to be kept for a third day to finish issues with the rear suspension. They really put in extra effort to get the repairs finished on that third day. Nick and the guys were up front with what went wrong and put in a lot of extra effort. Ive been to several shops in the area, but this is where Ill be bringing my car in the future.

Bryan J. Update: had my car fixed they did a great job for a reasonable price and I appreciate it I havent had my car repaired by them yet so this is just about their niceness and putting me at ease. I have a flat tire and thought I am kinda screwed and would need a tow truck. Me knowing nothing about cars didnt make portable air pumps that you can use. So I ordered and am hoping it will work so ABM can fix the tire. I also need other work done on the car and, based on the reviews, this seems like a great place, Ill post updates thanks!

Андрій Ціцяла I recently contacted these guys with issues such as car vibration and a non-working air conditioner. They quickly inspected my car and gave me an estimate for the repair. They also replaced my brake kit under warranty and didnt charge me a single dollar. They explained everything clearly to me. They are very pleasant to talk to and love their customers. Thank you!! Kai Summers Called on Friday at 2pm for a fuel pump issue had me back on the road by Saturday 2pm. He connected me with a tow truck that had the lowest rates around. Also gave me the best price on repairs as well as getting me in and completed faster than any other mechanic I called. I can’t recommend this shop enough. Great work. Great customer service. Great prices.

Rachel Waid Ed and his team are kind, efficient, knowledgeable, and honest. There is no charge unless there’s work done. I often feel nervous since my car knowledge is lacking, but found this shop through a Chicago Girls’ Group, and definitely will bring my car back for any future needs!

Tyrome Turner Arya A1 gives the best mechanic experience, they are professional, dependable, and courteous. I bought a new car with a leak, and while the dealership was unwilling to repair it, Arya took care of me. Ed is the best! He always looks out for you and treats you with the utmost respect. I left Chicago years ago and have yet to experience service anywhere near the caliber of Arya.

Kaelen P. I’ve been visiting North Center auto care for a year or so now for oil changes. A few weeks ago when my car wouldn’t start, I brought it straight here. The issue was a fault with the starter motor, which was diagnosed after my car gave them several days of trouble, sometimes starting and the once moved into a bay, suddenly refusing to start again. They quoted me a very reasonable price to replace the starter motor and the air control valve, which was also on the fritz. They were very understanding of my budget constraints and adjusted my estimate to include just the starter motor, and kindly offered to clean a bit around the air control valve. Once the work was agreed on, it was completed within a day and I had my car back working great. Everyone I interacted with was very polite and helpful.

They are great at communicating, and I love that they send pictures of any issues theyre recommended addressing so you can see it before deciding if youd like them to fix it. Unique Let me be clear: AutoService1 at 2844 N Kedzie Ave in Chicago is not to be trusted. On March 20, 2025, I brought my 2017 Chevy Trax in for what should’ve been a routine repair. Instead, I was slapped with a nearly $3,000 estimate for so-called “urgent” repairs—one of which was a supposed turbocharger issue. I knew something was off, so I took my car to two certified mechanics elsewhere. The real cost of necessary repairs? Around $700. That’s not a small oversight—that’s a blatant attempt to take advantage of a customer. This isn’t about bad service. This is about dishonesty and predatory business practices. They were banking on me not knowing better. But I did my homework. And now I’m warning others: don’t let them do this to you. There was no transparency, no proper explanation of the costs, and zero accountability. I’ve already filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. And now I’m here making sure no one else gets played. AutoService1 - Kedzie is not where you take your car if you care about integrity, fair pricing, or being treated with respect. Go somewhere else. Period.

Chris Napolitano ive been comng here for at least ten years for all variety of mechanical issues and they have never dissapointed. i drive old difficult to deal with midwestern rust buckets and i always drive away with the problem fixed FOR GOOD feeling like my car is new again. marvin and his guys have always done very thorough work. his wife works the counter and she is as knowledgeable as any mechanic too. they have proven themselves to me and i trust them and their prices are always fair. i know its a lot of words but i really do appreciate this auto shop and the hard working people behind it.

Spent about $220 total. Appreciate the honesty and quick turnaround. Only gripe: waiting area could use some TLC. Still, solid spot for car fixes in the neighborhood.

Ben Smith I had my rear brake pads and rotors replaced, as well as an oil change and tire rotation. Service was excellent and fast; job was completed in less than 3 hours. The price was right- labor was half of what I was quoted at another mechanic shop, and tire rotation was done free of charge!
