  • Peters Motors - Woodstock
Robyn Carpenter: Everyone at Peters Motors is wonderful. I brought in my 2012 Ford Explorer with a lot of work that needed to be done. They explained everything that needed to be done, explained what could wait and what was urgent, and even ordered and installed the tires for me that I was going to purchase elsewhere. I never felt that I was being talked down to or taken advantage of. The work was done sooner than expected and when I had a concern after picking it up, they were receptive, checked it out, and calmed my fears.

    JCM Auto Repair - Woodstock
Kevin Cooper: Ive known Marco and Julio for quite some time now, and I can confidently say they are two of the most dependable and trustworthy people in the business. Every time I’ve brought my car in—whether it was for routine maintenance or a bigger repair—they’ve gone above and beyond to make sure everything was done right. They treat my vehicle like it’s their own, and that kind of care is hard to come by these days. What sets them apart is not just their skill and attention to detail, but their honesty. They’ll tell you exactly what’s going on, give you a fair quote, and never try to upsell you on things you don’t need. That kind of transparency is rare and incredibly appreciated. They always take the time to explain things clearly and make sure I feel comfortable with the work being done. Their pricing is more than reasonable, especially considering the level of service they provide. I’ve never left feeling like I overpaid or got anything less than top-quality work. Whether you’re in for a quick oil change or something more involved, you can count on Marco and Julio to deliver. If you’re looking for mechanics you can truly trust, don’t think twice—stop in and talk to them. Ask for a quote, ask questions—they’re always happy to help. These are the guys you want working on your car, plain and simple.

    City Limit Service - Woodstock
Adam Conard: Went to the shop for warranty work on my jeep shop claimed the warranty work and then charged me extra for unauthorized parts, extra labor over the warranty extra diagnosis for a leaking water pump. Charged me over 600 for diag on a car they told me they couldn’t fix because of rust. But they did change the headlight for 700. And sent me back a car with a bad suspension that I had to take to another shop right away fixed within 1 day at another shop. Charging for coolant flush that never got done etc. Scam shop over priced and untrustworthy

Cheryl Cox: I value a great mechanic like I do a doctor or dentist. The owner Bob and his staff are great. I’ve been a customer for 15+ years. Bob has the knowledge and experience you can trust. He’s honest and fair. I went to my Subaru dealership while my new car was under warranty, but after that ended, I was happy to put my car back in Bob’s care. He also kept my mom’s car in perfect running condition and would pump her gas for her since she was elderly and didn’t want to. I’m grateful to have this shop in my neighborhood.
    RP Auto Services - Woodstock
Kari Hoff: I would discourage employing the services of this business after having a particularly harrowing and expensive experience after they replaced the tie rod ends on my vehicle. Unbeknownst to me, RP did not do an alignment, as is protocol, following the replacement of the tie rod ends. Just 20 days later I found this out, while on a road trip, when both of my new (less than 30 days old, see photos) front tires failed while driving on the highway at 65 mph. A reputable mechanic in the area where my car broke down had to replace both front tires, which were destroyed from negligent mechanical work (done by RP) when tie rod ends were replaced (additionally the new tires had be mounted, balanced and aligned). As I was some 400 miles from home when this happened, I had no choice but to have the work done on the spot. Thankfully, the mechanic that did the emergency work was thorough and I was provided with before and after toe measurements for the front tires that were destroyed as a result of the improperly installed tie rod ends. Measurements indicated that no alignment was done and that the jam nuts were not touched. The mechanic that provided the measurements said, even without proper equipment, eyeballing the alignment would have provided better results. Upon returning, I visited RP, bringing the destroyed front tires as well as a copy of the before and after toe measurements, and a statement from the mechanic that provided the repair services. I felt it was fair to ask that RP refund the labor amount for the replaced tie rod ends (I did not ask him to refund the cost of the parts as they remained on the car) and the cost of the new tires I had to purchase (not the entire cost of the mounting and alignment). He was dismissive and evasive about his responsibility. When I asked him what he thought was a fair resolution to the matter, he walked away. Be aware that this business does not stand by their work and also operates on a cash-only basis (they say they take credit cards, but when it came time to pay for the original work, I was told they only take cash). I am thankful that myself and my companion were not injured when the tires failed, however I was left with cost of destroyed front tires and emergency mechanic work. I hope this review prevents someone else from similar danger and financial loss.
