1 /5 Tabatha Phillips: I don’t ever write bad reviews unless the truth needs to be told. So, I feel like you all need to know what kind of person you are dealing with here in this small town. Save your teeth and go somewhere else. NOW.
Dr Abell jacked up my back molars and then handed me a $5 gift card to get icecream because he felt bad… He put a hole in my tooth- YES, he bumped a tooth with his drill and put a hole in my tooth. He didn’t figure it out until after 2 weeks of me having agonizing pain when he finally took an X-ray. At which point he said he would bill my insurance, but I wouldn’t be required to pay anything out of pocket for this incident. Ummm- hello? What?! How do you bill my insurance for something YOU did?!! I feel like that might be a little fraudulent. No?
Abell had to put me on an antibiotic due to an infection from this mishap. You want to know what happened? The prescription he wrote was for a 15lb person, so needless to say, I ended up having to pay for a medical visit with an actual DR because my tooth was massively infected and I needed a stronger antibiotic.
When I went back to get my crown from him because I paid for it and obviously didn’t want him touching my mouth ever again, he wouldn’t give it to me and yelled at me out in the parking lot.
Oh, & fun fact, he never even apologized for any of this.
For 2 years in the making, I have been in constant pain trying to save my tooth. I had to have a root canal done and then a recommended second one just to try to avoid an extraction. But, it didn’t work. I ended up having to have it pulled out. Guess who paid for all those visits and trauma? Me. For something HE did. Had he made it right by offering to pay for the bills (since it was his fault), then I would have a different view because accidents do happen, but he did not. No sorry, no nothing. Just a $5 gift card.
