1 /5 Emily Basler: I went here with my mom today for pedicures. We got the basic pedicures which are $30 according to their prices at their place. During my pedicure the lady I had was using the trimmers in my toes to get extra skin and cuticles around my big toes. She ended up pulling super hard on skin that was attached to my toe and ripped it off, making it bleed a little. We ended up only having like 20 minute pedicures and when we went to go pay it ended up being $100 for two pedicures. We got nothing else… we were a little confused but didn’t say anything. We realized we were over charged quite a bit it should have only been like $65. We didn’t get anhtnjng extra for the pedicures. Plus I ended up with shorter toe nails than I wanted a bleeding toe. NEVER GOING BACK. Don’t go back to this place.

5 /5 Amy Carratt: I have hard a hard time finding a nail tech in Rockford. Here they do a stunning job will definitely be coming back for nails and a pedicure.

1 /5 Haley Coon: If I could give this place no stars I would I went in today around like 2pm after my dentist appointment I asked for yellow French tips and I didn’t get what I asked for not to mention my toe nail polish is already chipping and the polish is so bad you can literally move the polish not to mention I seen them use some tools on a lady’s feet they put it in a bag and put it in a warmer to use again ! They are closed now but I will be back tomorrow to get my money back ! Very unprofessional and nasty to use something you used on somebody else’s feet then y’all messed up my toes rushing overlapping the polish so many times it’s not dry under the first 5 layers you guys put on ! I will be getting my money back and I will never go here again !

1 /5 Hawks Magz (Magz): This is my first and last time trying Essence Nails in Rockford. I treated my mother to a manicure. The color was a beautiful bright pink & looked great, until, less than 12 hours later, she showed me how her nails were peeling. We decided to go with regular polish vs no-chip - my mom is 82 years old and not rough on her hands. I called the salon and told them about the issue, needless to say, they were not nice and said, “we only guarantee no chip polish!” Really? I’ve always used regular polish on my hands and have NEVER had a problem 12 hours later. They offered to have us come back and they would do them again. Went back and decided to try a different color just in case the polish they originally used was bad. Again, they argued with us and told us this is what happens when you don’t use no chip. They did her nails, and again … the same exact thing happened. Only difference is … it started bubbling up and literally falling off her nails that same evening. I have no idea why this happened, but I do know 100% for sure that this is not the norm with regular polish. What is really frustrating is that they were so mean about it. Don’t waste time at this place! Idk how this place has any good reviews. Stand behind your work and don’t treat customers like idiots!! I wish I would have taken pictures of the polish peeling off.
