3 /5 Alonnah Madson: I requested a hair and makeup trial for my wedding in August. Overall, it was a fun experience, but not what I was hoping for, especially for the price.
Personally, airbrush foundation is not a great option for my dry skin and I prefer to look more dewy. The girl who did my makeup was very upfront with me that they only do airbrush and it would not look like I wanted. I appreciated her being upfront. My face felt very dry and stiff, and the lines on my face were much more noticeable. My eye makeup application was much darker than what I preferred and it looked messy to me. It wasnt very close to what I had showed her for inspiration.
My hair is very long and healthy, with a slight natural wave to my butt. My style was a braid to the side. It became messy pretty quickly, so Im not sure if it was something the stylist could have done differently or if its just not a great option for my hair.
Overall, I wanted to love it, but I didnt. The staff was very nice and the facility is a very cute and clean place. Paying that much for a trial to be unhappy with it was tough though.
