Gerber Collision & Glass - Belvidere (IL)

5 /5 Mike Mendelson: My car was hit in Rockford, IL. and my car was towed by chance to Gerber Collision And Glass in Belvidere. I was not from that area and very unsure as to what to do. Margie and Spencer at Gerber were amazing! When I spoke to Spencer he told me not to worry. He called the tow truck, who gave me a ride to Gerber with my car. When I arrived Margie explained the process and said they would be in touch after accessing all the damage. During the repair process, Spencer would call and inform me of the process and what had to be done next. I NEVER had to call them for an update, Spencer always beat me to it. I licked my car up and I was like the accident never happened. Margie took car of one little issue that was due to an insurance approval. She got it taken care of immediately. The team there is great!

5 /5 Ronald Gratz: Both my trucks have been repaired at this location and they did a phenomenal job! Color match looks great, body work is flawless! Im a finicky guy and hard to please but they nailed it!

3 /5 Ally: I brought my car here because it is a “good hands guaranteed” shop with my insurance Allstate. I assumed that meant the best but I was definitely disappointed throughout the process. They had my car for several weeks. After the first week and a half they said my car was finished so I went and got it. Once I got it home and my husband and I took a closer look we noticed they didn’t finish the job and my rear view mirror (that they replaced) wouldn’t even focus. So I left a review about how upset I was with the result and they called us back and told us to bring it back in. Which we did the next day. That was maybe 2 weeks ago or more. I just got the car back today and it looks really nice and there isn’t error messages anymore and my mirror is fixed. they also paid for my rental for the last 2 weeks to make up for the inconvenience which was really thoughtful of them. Lastly when I picked up the car today they asked me to delete my last review which I thought was kinda weird. I’ve never had a place ask me to delete a review after they make a mistake but i did delete it for them. Overall I think the second time around they did a good job but that first time was kinda iffy. Would I recommend comming here? Probably not. I would research a few other places before just assuming they will be an honest shop with timely repairs.

5 /5 Samantha Breda: Gerber recently worked on my vehicle after it was in an accident. They were great about keeping me informed along the way while working with the other parties insurance and explaining in detail to me what they were going to do and the parts they were going to use. Front staff and mechanics that I spoke to were very friendly and knowledgeable. Vehicle was fixed in a timely and efficient manner and looks great! I will be a returning customer for sure!
