James Edwards Took a 20hp outboard in to have it gone through as I just received it with a fishing boat I bought. After two weeks I called and was told they had ordered a carb kit. A few weeks later I was told the kit was never ordered. Fast forward to today I was able to pick up the motor. Once home I had oil inside the bed of my truck. Found they striped the screw on the lower unit. Instead of fixing it they left it. Highly recommend you go somewhere else to have any service done.

Mike Staley For fast, quality, affordable, and HONEST service, you simply cant do better than Johns. I had a battery issue. I had it tested at a local auto parts store and took the results to another location I will not name. They wanted me to make an appointment for the following week to run a full diagnostic, for $175, before even telling me what the problem is. And they wouldve had my car the whole day just to run this diagnostic. I went to Johns, pretty late in the afternoon, and they said bring it back in the morning. I was there when they opened. Even though I know there were other people already booked, Johns team had it figured out, fixed, and had me on my way in 90 minutes. Also to find out that my battery charge was dropping so fast, it wouldnt have made it to that other appointment "next week". John and his team will never try to upsell you, never repair more than what immediately needs to be, and advise you on any issues that might not need immediate repair, but to keep an eye on. Integrity above all. Never look anywhere else.

I am astounded at the few people leaving sub par reviews. People, if you’re gonna take the time to leave a review be sure to leave it with the right business you went to. If Ken doesn’t have you in his books it’s because you were never there. I believe in Ken, his work, his knowledge, his trust and his pricing is one of the best to be found. So if you want to leave a review with this business please don’t confuse them with Belvidere Auto Maintenance. These two businesses are located on the same street and there names are nearly the same but their not affiliated with each other. So people, read your paper work before you post a stupid comment. You won’t find a more honest and trustworthy mechanic in Belvidere.

Sheri Maloney 1. After shopping around I was quoted one price and when finished wanted over $800 more, after 4 months of waiting with a deposit left down . Ended up paying over $500 more then quoted. 2. After being told plow would be installed in October it finally was installed in February. I can understand the back order, but after being told it will be in after numerous times it got old. Especially the last time in January when they said it was in and set an appointment brought it down and wasn’t in again. 3. Asked for back drag blade never was installed. 4. Said I was needing a lift kit but couldn’t do it then because of not having parts and sent me home with the mount hitting the road on the way home. 5. When getting it home I noticed both pins were falling out because they didn’t install clip on both pins, which would have dropped the back end of plow to the ground. (Thank you God) 6. Told me when I left home that if I want to take plow off I may need to drive over some boards or Jack the front end up to get plow off. Trust me they were correct. Me, coming from a customer service background, felt that they really didn’t want to listen to what I had to say after politely voicing my concerns. They had excuses after excuses of reasoning why, which stories were different from each person I spoke with. Not a good experience for me. Chris Weiand Steer clear of these clowns, their work is horrible and customer service even worse. The work performed looks like a middle school kid did the work. Stevie Wonder could do a better job. You tell them what is needed, and they forget, dont write anything down, had the car for 2+weeks while we were out on vacation. Come home and still not done. Then tell me to bring the car back, I do. And they buff it out thinking that will fix it. Only to get compound on the plastic and stain it. Put a mark on the hood, which wasnt even damaged. Then youd think they would call you to make it right.... no such thing. I wouldnt let these guys touch my grandsons big-wheel!

Marco Antonio If i could give 0 stars i would. Only used them since they are located in my area. They had my car for over a week and a half & for 2-3 days of work, with no updates given to me during this time. I had to take it back after i got it back because the “new” bumper was damaged and the paint was bubbling where they did work. This is when they had it for 6 more days. I Also noticed they drove my car without my permission as i have an airtag on my fob and in vehicle, this i thought was the most unprofessional thing i encountered not to mention the customer service, what customer service????. I am all for local small businesses but I would stay clear of this place, I would NEVER trust them to do any kind of work to anyones car. Look at all this overspray on my windows that will not come off, they did not replace the PPF (clear film protectant that goes over the door and handle. Buffing compound everywhere, received my car back with their tools in my car, dusty dash and broken push pins on my shield.

It hasnt been picked up yet. the experience with talking to Shannon, I know he cares that its done right, and in a timely fashion. I did get the vehicle back a few days ago. the paint was done perfect. it looks better then it did before the accident. Highly recommend their services.

patrick skorupski Absolutely horrible experience with the sales manager, Kerry. I had purchased a 23’ GMC 2500 Denali and it was delivered with bald tires, dents on tailgate, multi function tailgate does NOT open (was told that should be covered by warranty), several scratches on the front and rear bumper as well as the passenger side door area. 3 holes drilled in bed rail from previous owners tool box. Within 3 weeks of purchase I can now only go 55mph due to emissions system issues. I now have to bring my truck in for service for an unspecified amount of time. When I contacted the dealer to discuss my concerns as it was being delivered he said I would need to speak with the manager, Kerry, who told me Kunes would not be able to do anything to address my issues. Overall, I have been very disappointed with the process and customer service After the sale. Use caution if you are considering Kunes for your next automobile purchase

Brad Diaz Very dishonest and have zero integrity. Lied and told my wife she needed a new battery when the battery was less than two months old. The battery they took was of better quality and had a longer warranty than the one they put in. Not very trustworthy people.

Mike Mendelson My car was hit in Rockford, IL. and my car was towed by chance to Gerber Collision And Glass in Belvidere. I was not from that area and very unsure as to what to do. Margie and Spencer at Gerber were amazing! When I spoke to Spencer he told me not to worry. He called the tow truck, who gave me a ride to Gerber with my car. When I arrived Margie explained the process and said they would be in touch after accessing all the damage. During the repair process, Spencer would call and inform me of the process and what had to be done next. I NEVER had to call them for an update, Spencer always beat me to it. I licked my car up and I was like the accident never happened. Margie took car of one little issue that was due to an insurance approval. She got it taken care of immediately. The team there is great!

Ally I brought my car here because it is a “good hands guaranteed” shop with my insurance Allstate. I assumed that meant the best but I was definitely disappointed throughout the process. They had my car for several weeks. After the first week and a half they said my car was finished so I went and got it. Once I got it home and my husband and I took a closer look we noticed they didn’t finish the job and my rear view mirror (that they replaced) wouldn’t even focus. So I left a review about how upset I was with the result and they called us back and told us to bring it back in. Which we did the next day. That was maybe 2 weeks ago or more. I just got the car back today and it looks really nice and there isn’t error messages anymore and my mirror is fixed. they also paid for my rental for the last 2 weeks to make up for the inconvenience which was really thoughtful of them. Lastly when I picked up the car today they asked me to delete my last review which I thought was kinda weird. I’ve never had a place ask me to delete a review after they make a mistake but i did delete it for them. Overall I think the second time around they did a good job but that first time was kinda iffy. Would I recommend comming here? Probably not. I would research a few other places before just assuming they will be an honest shop with timely repairs.

I dropped in and was taken care of IMMEDIATELY. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Thad was the only employee there when I arrived and was super helpful. I will be bringing all my auto business here in the future. Great people.

Arielle Absolutely amazing service! I was passing through town and got a nail in my tire and they were able to help me right away and help get me back on the road. They also noticed something on my car that another auto shop had missed and it was a huge blessing and I was able to get that fixed when I got back to my destination as well.
