Mary Evie Sparks They have saved my life!!!! I may be dramatic but my ac isnt working and it is hot and I drive 3 hours to one of my jobs and they made it work for me even though I just showed up!!! Best service and so helpful I cant even say enough about this place

David Green Went in to Steins for an overheating problem. After checking everything over Mike couldnt find anything wrong. Intermittent problems are always the worst. They charged me nothing for the effort they put in which was fantastic of them. Normally you get sold on services anyway that wont help your issue but I can verify that Stein automotive is a good place to bring your vehicle because of their honesty.

Mark Webster Joe is very friendly and easy to do business with. I would give this service 5 stars but, since he takes his time and is the sole employee, it can take a bit of time to get service. He does a fantastic job.

Sarah Johnson Extremely rude! Has absolutely no customer service skills. I am paying to repair someone else’s vehicle that I hit and he told me I’m not dealing with you I am dealing with the owner of the vehicle. Mind you I called about 15 different shops and I was the one that found this shop we had to reschedule twice and he threatened to keep my deposit also. This man does not do business correctly or fairly.

Ashley Hamilton I would highly recommend Bertco. Brian and his team are absolutely amazing. They are efficient, they care about your vehicle. They service vehicles like they are their own. They are TRUSTWORTHY which is something very hard to find these days. They went above and beyond for an oil change on my sons car. They checked everything out and rotated tires for me replace a brake light blub.

Joe Tejas I came to 1st Class Auto Service to get my 1994 F-150 worked on when no one else would touch it. I was told by a different competitor that I needed a new engine and good luck finding someone that would do that. I had my truck towed there, upon my arrival I was treated with respect, and they were glad to help me out. It turned out that after their inspection, I did not need a new engine just a lot of reconstruction under the hood. John was amazing, he took his time and replaced everything that need to be fix and within a couple of days, he had my truck on the road when no one else could. Roy was amazing in finding the parts for my vehicle. I dont think there isnt a part he cannot find. 1st Class Auto Service is a first-class business. They are fair, honest and reliable. I am overly satisfied with their work. Thank you for what you do....

Rae Wyld Nice place and friendly atmosphere for quick services. Do I recommend them for all services? Absolutely NOT. when I came here I knew what my car was doing and what needed to be worked on. This place distracts you with numbers and gaslights you into doubt about your car and they start a whole tab receipt so that you are broke when you walk out. I recommend them for SIMPLE services only. I do NOT recommend them for anything else or you will be broke walking out. I replaced my own ignition coil and knew I needed spark plugs and possibly new wiring and they wanted to say my inner tie rods needed replaced which is a lie bc I already replaced my outer tie rods and inner LAST year. Simple oil changes and air filter changes only they like ppl with money, its in their name entirely FIRST CLASS meaning they cater to the privileged that have money and can pay them extra to do simple fixes. Save your wallet and know when to walk away from here. I wont be back unfortunately, but theyre very friendly and very nice and theyre FAST Ill give them that.

Rick Dowd Took a while to get an appointment because they are busy, and for good reason. I’ve been an insurance adjuster and have written estimates for repairs to vehicles; I can state that this shop and Mr Kelso are fair, precise and extremely honest. Their repair work is top notch and timely. As long as I live in southern Illinois I will never go anywhere else

Fae Marie Absolutely fantastic shop. I knew what was wrong with the car, but dont have a place where I could take care of it myself at the moment. Other shops we called tried to sell us bs, or price gouged us. Brian was busy, so he took while to get back to us, but eventually gave me a reasonable quote, had an appointment available less than a week away, and had the car done the next day after we dropped it off. Fantastic. The only work they suggested adding was the one thing I had left off the list of known issues anyway! I cant recommend Campbell Automotive enough. In addition, they didnt do any work without calling us and verifying everything after they had looked at it. Even though it was already on the agreed upon work order. I will only be bringing my cars to Campbells from now on.

Bernadette Polley I see a running theme in many of these reviews: Knowledgeable. It’s true, Paul is very knowledgeable, and he takes joy in sharing that knowledge. Every time I talk with him, I learn something new about either my car or cars in general, and he never makes me feel stupid for not knowing in the first place. I’m big on preventative maintenance. Paul is very good about running diagnostics, printing up the reports for me and when he suggests maintenance, he shows me pictures of my car to explain what and why he is suggesting it. Bonus: Not only is Paul knowledgeable, he is professional, dependable and trustworthy too!

Christopher Lucas Paul is my go-to-guy when it comes to any and all mechanical issues with my vehicle. I can assure you Paul is very knowledgeable and knows exactly what hes doing. Ive been doing business with him since summer 2016. From a bad alternator, change of brakes, brake pads and oil changes, install new tires, just to name a few. I just recently had an engine wiring harness installed due to the poor job quality that another party had done. I can sincerely tell you that I rely on Paul getting any, if not all, of your vehicle issues fixed, on time, and at a fair price.

Tim Manley My long time mechanic used to be in Fairview Heights. But that auto service business recently changed ownership and the their service is no longer what it once was. In search of a new auto mechanic, I chose J & R. Fred and Sandy were great to work with and got my truck fixed very quickly and at a very reasonable price. More importantly, Fred took the time to explain the problem in layman’s terms. My overall impression is that this is a very honest and trustworthy business. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. I look forward to doing business with J & R again. Thank you Fred and Sandy!

I was able to pick my vehicle up the following afternoon. Patricks guarantees his work, for the life of the part. Its been two days and my vehicle runs great. I would definitely recommend D & M!

L L Before I start, I want to make clear that Im not trying throw any bad shade at the mechanics. The service is good, the mechanics are very knowledgeable and customer friendly, but the management looks horrible. It seems like the business is extremely short staffed, to the point where a mechanic literally could not inspect nor troubleshoot vehicles due to being trapped at the front desk, answering phone calls. The mechanics were doing the best they could in that environment, but it seemed very rushed. I brought my car in before 10am for an exhaust job that didnt include welding, I couldnt leave until after 5:45pm, and the exhaust still has a very noticeable rattle and looseness to it.

Kyle Meyer Family owned that really cares. They have financing offers which is helpful since auto repairs can be unexpected and expensive. They won me over when I took my car in for what I thought was a small leak in my tire, they informed me that it was not a leak and could just be a tire pressure monitor issue. Only charged me for a fix a flat. This shows real integrity and the kindness of a community focused company.

Don Bertelsmann My cousin turned me on to Joe. I have an older car that would kill me on repairs at most shops. He does great work at a fair price. Its a little out of the way for me being in St. Louis, but its worth the drive to deal with a competent mechanic that treats you well. Cant say enough good things about him!

Savanah Bearden Jen and Chad were amazing! I highly recommend going to the Auffenberg Body Shop! They were so sweet during the whole process and Jen called me on updates on my car because she knew how much I was stressing about the situation. Saying that they made my car look exactly how I wanted it to is an understatement! They made my car look brand new again and I couldn’t thank them enough! Mike Manus I hate to get on any social media and post a bad review but this I felt necessary. They have had my car for 25 days and I have yet to receive a call back. I’ve called multiple times asking for an eta or any updates. I am very understanding with the cyber attacks and short staffed but there is no excuses for lack of communication. I’m now 4 days overdue on my rental car and was hung up on when I asked for an eta and promised “I’ll have someone call you.”
