Maria’s nails - Bloomington

Lidia Halder: I truly hate to leave a negative review, especially because the staff here are incredibly sweet and welcoming. They offered great hospitality even giving me water and made me feel comfortable throughout the appointment. However, I have to be honest about the quality of the service I received. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with how my nails turned out. The shaping was noticeably uneven and crooked, and despite bringing it up several times, the corrections didn’t fully address the issue. What confused me most was that even though the unevenness was quite visible, my nail tech insisted that it was just due to the natural shape of my nails, which didn’t feel right to me. On top of that, the polish application was inconsistent. Some corners of my nails were missing polish entirely, making them look unfinished. When it came to the top coat, the process seemed rushed she started curing all the nails at once instead of individually, which resulted in an uneven finish. Some nails ended up bulky in spots, while others were too thin. There were also glue residues left underneath the nails, and my cuticles weren’t trimmed at all. By the end, even though I voiced some concerns during the process, I felt pressured to agree when I was told repeatedly, “These look so pretty, right?” I just didn’t feel like I received the quality I expected for what I paid especially with money I work hard for. It honestly saddens me to write this because they were so kind, but I don’t think I’ll be returning. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, because while friendliness is important, the quality of work matters just as much.

I’ve gotten regular and gel pedicures here, along with gel manicures, and I’ve always left happy with these services. The deluxe pedicure is my favorite—it’s a good value for the amount of pampering you get. The ambiance is relaxing and clean, and they have plenty of technicians to accommodate busier times. Khanh is my go-to for gel manicures—she’s incredibly talented and meticulous. My nails come out flawless and last beautifully. I definitely recommend calling ahead to make an appointment.

Corrie Spinner: We were here in May and got the deluxe package with hot stone, and it was only $55. We came back today, got the same package and they said it was $80, because gel was now $30 more. They got our pedis mixed up and under charged one of us, and over charged the other. Not horrible service, but definitely not worth the $80.

I love being able to get in and out in under 45 min and not have to get anxious about where and who to go to.... and wait! Kim is an expert with nails and I get complimented regularly on having nice and pretty nails!

bonnie: First time trying this place out.. called to see if they accept walk ins. The lady said yes asked what I was getting done Itold her it was for 3 ladies as well as what were getting. She tell me 230. We get there 10 minutes early and its still packed mind you its mothers day so I understand they were busy. What I dont understand is why they kept telling people come back in 30 minute increments. Working on me and leaving to go work on 2 other people! When you ask your technician and show her what design and how I wanted my full set done and she says yes she can do that and the end result is NOTHING like the picture.. no! My daughter wasnt thrilled about her new set. My nails didnt get the attention they deserved and it shows! 4 days with a fresh set of gel polish and they look like I had them for weeks! I wont be returning!
