1 /5 tim nelson: Have been coming here for a long time, usually happy, until now. Had vibrations in front suspension and steering wheel movement. They had the vehicle for a week, spent $300 on rental car. The repair bill was almost $400, NO parts replaced, they were able to "fix" the bad part. I drove it home and had the same issues. Spoke to Joe he told me my tires were bad. Had the tires rotated and surprise no more problem.

5 /5 Kirk Morrow: 12/19/2022: Im traveling through Rockford from west central Minnesota to Detroit. Halfway into the trip my steering becomes scary and unsafe. I get a hotel and call around to find a repair shop. Best case Im looking at a week before I can get an appointment due to low staff. I called Jon and Louis and they were able to get me in and fixed within 4 hours from my initial call. Very impressed with both of them and extremely appreciative of them getting me in so soon. Great job and I wish I could bring all my cars to them but Im 400 miles away. Thanks again Jon and Louis!!!! Have a great New Year!!

My dad told me when I first started driving Years ago,”When you find and honest great mechanic, Stick with them!” Great advice and has been my practice ever since, no matter where I’ve lived. When I first moved to the neighborhood I had my eye on Mike’s. The vibe it gives off is one of honesty and a customer caring owner. I took my 2019 Flex there in December for an oil change. (never go to your wham bam oil changing places, find a reputable car shop) I got a call from them not long after the drop off, that my serpentine belt was cracking and needed replaced and they quoted me a price. I didn’t hesitate and authorized them to change the belt. I am on the highway a lot between here and Kentucky, I don’t need that problem at 70 mph at 7am in the middle of nowhere. LOL That’s the kind of shop I want in my corner. Need a trustworthy and honest car shop check out Mike’s, you won’t be disappointed!Thanks Mike’s Auto Service!!

Bob Oliai: The Ricotta’s are true craftsmen who have an unparalleled knowledge of Corvettes and GM muscle cars. Recently, I took my 1968 Corvette to them for a routine maintenance. The car hsd previously had a very thorough frame off restoration but once I got it to the shop the car would not start and had no electrical power. Apparently, the wiring was completely incorrectly done such that the car could have started on fire if it had been driven long enough, which frankly could’ve ended very badly for me. They diagnosed everything that was wrong and fixed it so that the car is now safe! They also Installed a new wiper motor, stereo and tuned the car up for the summer. These guys are probably one of a handful of shops in the United States that could’ve done this work and I’m very thankful that they helped me out. Jose G Camacho Jr: Second time I’ve been to Carpenter Auto & Transmission. The first time was for the water pump, early last year and this week for the rear brakes. Service is always great and the work, excellent. The Staff is friendly and will let you know what needs to be done before they start the work. Hopefully I won’t need any major work done for a while, but if I do Carpenter’s will be my go to Auto repair shop.

LadyFi: Had a oil change here last year and didnt know until this year that my oil wasnt changed, just the filter! oil was very black like molasses, and while there I asked Tom Tom to drive my van to see if he heard the noise anybody can clearly hear when my car was on he said he didnt hear a thing but told me my car was raggedy! long story short I was ripped off! Never again!

Amy: I wish I could give them a million stars. Ive had taken my car to multiple places to see why my car wasnt starting happy car got it to where I no longer have to jump my car after a year and a half dealing with it and multiple batteries. I also took my car to napeltons to get my brakes fixed they quoted me $2700 ridiculous. Happy Car charged me half that. I would recommend them 1000% of the time. All the guys were amazing and friendly. I dont remember all their names but Seth was the one I was working with and he was the best. Not forgetting Austin either (if I remember his name correctly). Each and everyone is great!
