Sarah: While being 1hr away from home, my check engine light came on and my car was running poorly. I just so happened to see their automotive sign and pulled in their lot during a moment of desperation. Not only were they extremely kind but they diagnosed the problem, had the parts brought over, and fixed the issue in less than an hour. All this right at their closing time. I probably won’t have the opportunity to return for future services but will be forever grateful for getting my son and me home safely! Thank you so much for your kindness and the speedy repair!

Adam Jones: I dont understand some of the negative reviews on here about prices and communication. I havent had a single issue with Adam (ironically the same name as me,) letting me know what they believe needs to be done. There really havent been any surprises. I have a 20 year old vehicle, and after dropping my car off 3 times, my car runs better than when I bought it in 2020. They dont seem to be insanely cheap, but from talking with some friends that work with cars, their prices are reasonable. They might be slightly higher on labor than other shops, but you definitely get what you pay for. I havent had any invoices showing exorbitant prices for parts. Only encountered one issue with my car here, which wasnt their fault at all (20 year old car with brittle wiring and extremely old sensors degrading.) This issue was not surprising to me. I greatly appreciate the detail taken here.

Mary Pollock: An honest man trying to retire. Told me a time to call him back. I called him, and he remembered me. Told me to bring my van in on Monday , on Tuesday, called to tell me to pick it up. As nice as he is, I dont think he will retire

Jesse Farrar: These folks have been amazing and, in some instances, life saving for me over the years. They kept me and my touring band on the road for many years, many times on little to no notice. They got us in quick and kept our train rolling. Since then, they have become my “go-to” when I’m in a pinch. Just recently, my personal vehicle needed some immediate assistance to help make it to work. They got me in the very next morning and back on the road that evening. They are staples in auto care for my family, friends and I. They seem to really care about the folks that are loyal to them and they do all they can to give back. Cory is a mastermind and the whole crew there are extremely accommodating. Could not recommend more!! Thank yall for all you do!!!

    Fix-O-Flat - West Belleville - Belleville
Lita: When I pulled up there was one car in front of me just getting a plug, so not busy at all for 3:30 on a Friday afternoon.. No sooner had I spoke to Greg about getting four used tires when suddenly there were three more vehicles pulling in at the same time. He remained calm, polite, and focused on me and my needs. There was another gentleman working who also remained working with the other customer and they both acknowledged the other three vehicles/customers who had just pulled in. While I had researched tires and basically no one carrying them due to their size; I had become frustrated. But someone had pointed me in the direction of this Fix-O-Flat. The last time I had been here was years ago when I got a nail stuck in my tire, I didn’t think of purchasing tires from here. Needless to say, I drove away paying two thirds less in what brand new tires alone were going to cost without install, balance, and disposal fees, etc of a regular tire shop or even a WalMart/Sam’s Club. But. My tires were always going to have to be special ordered because of the tire size. These guys were friendly. Took their time and didn’t rush, it wasn’t a quick - slop job. No, my tires don’t all match. But you know what? They’re all brand new tires. I highly recommend them. I was in and out quickly. Thanks guys!!

Michael H: Zero stars if I could. My young adult son was in a tough spot — he was getting ready to drive to Georgia for a summer Electrical Lineman training program when we discovered that his check engine light had been on for some time. I was out of town and unable to assist directly, and unfortunately, our trusted mechanic was completely booked with no openings before his departure. Out of desperation, my wife and son turned to this shop. They came back with a long list of supposedly "urgent" issues — including bad brakes and the “wrong” battery — claims that were later dismissed by both our trusted mechanic and the Hyundai dealership. The shop provided an inflated estimate, refused to guarantee that any of their recommended repairs would actually resolve the check engine light, and insisted that these unnecessary “priority” repairs had to be completed first — at nearly three times the cost we ultimately paid. Fortunately, our regular mechanic was able to squeeze my son in at the last minute. The real issue? A faulty speed sensor. No need for brakes, no need for a new battery — and certainly no need for scare tactics or a bloated repair bill. To make matters worse, the shop refused to honor a military discount on the diagnostic fee simply because we opted for a second opinion. That kind of pettiness says a lot about their priorities. If you’re in a tough situation, be cautious — this shop appears to take advantage of people under pressure. We were lucky to have another option, and we’ll never return. From now on, we’ll stick with Bruce’s Auto Repair — the honest, reliable shop we’ve always trusted.
