Marias Braiding & Beauty Salon - Waukegan Tashona: I appreciate that Maria was able to get me in right away. However, the service was not acceptable. The stylist braiding was entirely too tight. This type of braiding is damaging to the hair. Despite wincing in pain, she continued to braid too tight. On top of that, I paid $40 more than I normally pay for the same style. Two days later, I am taking it down. My scalp is not only sore, but irritated and bumps are all over the hairline. Then to top it off she sealed the crochet braids with nail glue. This was a terrible experience.

VIP BEAUTY - Waukegan simplysoniasworld: Annai is super kind and fun. I was thrilled to find someone local who does vivid hair color cuz Ive been going into Chicago for years. But Annai was super enthused about what I wanted to do, despite my nervousness that Id look bad. In addition, she took my overgrown mane and gave me the cutest A line cut. And the Pravana colors she chose for my Candy Corn hair are so perfect! She also had cold water and tea for me, wore a mask and gloves and her place only allows for 1 client at a time which is the reason I ventured out and got my hair done. Felt very safe and taken care of the whole time. And the hair came out SO CUTE, Ive gotten nothing but compliments. Will definitely be going back if she will have me for more color experiments and cute cuts!
