Julia Patterson Lovina shop is the shop to go to they are fast but the work speaks for itself.the lady who braided my hair not only could she sing but she is extremely talented and phenomenal. The customer service is a 10 out of 10

Brian Cox Ink is a one in a million. Kind, courteous, listens to detail, easy to talk to, and great conversational with him. This barbershop is clean and very professional. He and his staff cater to your every need. This is a walk-in place, but well worth the wait. Five stars isnt enough for this young entrepreneur, and I highly recommend you give him a try; youll walk out feeling like a million bucks. Keep up the awesome work!!

marissa wadlington This was by far the best experience and transformation ever which I’m not surprised by. Once I looked and did my research I knew this spot was the best choice. Traveling and working in different states you get different results, but I knew this was the right choice. Me and my guy are travelers for the union and he was in need a of a great barber! Ink has the hands of god when it comes to cutting hair and an eye of an eagle. Whenever you’re in Waukegan and need a barber you better not hesitate to come here ! Thank you so much for transforming my honey he looked amazing we will be coming back !

Tatiana Johnson The new worker is terrible the main women wasn’t there so I compromised and instantly regretted it she put the lashes directly on my skin & waterline causing me to be in unbearable pain when I asked her to remove the lashes she refused and also refused to give me the number to the owner as a loyal customer it’s disheartening how i was treated today !!

CAT I was a very loyal customer for 7 years. New worker everytime and they always do an excellent job. I watched the price for threading go up. Originally it was $8. Then covid happened so they bumped it up to $12. I went in for threading today and it was quick because I dont have much eyebrows I just wanted it to be shaped though. Again new worker, still an excellent job, but this time its $15 just for that 3 min of threading. The worker deserved a tip, but that price took it already. That price is ridiculous. Sadly I have to look elsewhere next time. I wont be coming back anymore.

Xochilt Delacruz The service was good the ladies were nice i liked how my eyebrows looked after tinting what i didnt like was the residue of the tint she used a baby wipe to wipe it off and i also went for the full lash look and was extremely disappointed even after i told the woman i didnt like it she proceeded to donthe other side the glue was clumped and it clouded my vision all she could say is that its going to look that way NONE of their advertised pictures looked like i was left looking . Very dissatisfied.

Gods Creative I’ve been coming to Splendid African Hair Braiding for three years now, and I can honestly say this is the best hair braiding salon I’ve ever been too. The service is wonderful, my hair always comes out beautiful, clean parts, and professional! Deborah is so professional and a sweet person. Lenora did my Box Braids and hands down the best box braids I have gotten. She done it again with my French Braids. This will be a Solon that I will be continuing coming too for a long time. You need to book an appointment here!

charisma johnson My first time here and I have nothing but good things to say. First, they are very polite and welcoming. Second they are very knowledgeable and professional. I went in and had a certain style in mind. She let me know right away that if she were to put that style in my head, it would severely damage my hair. Third, they had fair pricing, and explained why each style had a different cost. I lost faith in hair salons in this area a very long time ago. Bad experiences all around. After going here today, they have earned a life long customer. Worth every penny! Thank you ladies❤️

Don Brown Jr One of the worse experiences with booking a service. Pics attached. Booked an appointment online on their website. Even texted to confirm that the appointment will be accepted. She ask what time I will be there and I gave her my appointment time. She canceled and said she has someone else coming. I live about an hour away and all she said to me was “sorry. Book somewhere else. Not worth the time and frustration.

mjc Went to get a trim for my long layers and curtain bangs this Wednesday afternoon. I told the lady I didnt want short layers and showed her where I wanted my layers to start and that I wanted to keep the length of my hair. What she gave me was the the most uneven choppy short layers. Didnt say anything at first because she styled my hair a certain way and got upset when I touched it after she was done styling. I left thinking maybe the haircut wasnt that bad. It wasnt until i went home and saw that not only did she give me short layers, they are extremely uneven and choppy all the way around. What she gave me is almost a wolf cut. I was going to go back to the salon the following day but was so upset and cried about my hair that I didnt want to go back and confront that lady although she reasurred me several times she wasnt cutting my layers too short and that she knew what she was doing. Ive had bad experiences with haircuts before and I told her that and yet she still did what she wanted and not what I asked for. I even showing her a picture of long layers. It took me months to grow my hair into long layers and now I have to wait to my hair to regrow to even them out. Do not come here to get layers unless you want them uneven and short. Maybe other people there know how to cut layers but not her. The lady who cut my hair told me her name once and I forgot otherwise I would say it

I told her well it look like you cutting hair to me. She started talking to me in Spanish and a girl translated and said they only do simple haircuts. Racism has no place in this country.

Noemi Gomez Took my two kids for haircut first of all shes rude as soon as you walk in the door very unprofessional. My kid left crying because she was very aggressive while moving his head. She told me to look at the pictures to pick a haircut and didnt give me friendly advice just pretty straight forward and rude. I paid 40 dollas for 2 boys haircuts witch I think is overpriced for the work she did. Never going back for sure definitely 0 starts.

Uzma Ali Terrible place- took my girls for haircut and Lulu took 5 min per kid. She used a mens trimmer to cut my daughters hair in one shot and missed cutting a good chunk of it until I pointed it out. Plus, the cleanliness of this place worries me. I’m so disappointed. I don’t even know why I tipped her.

Janette Perez Nice people but dont speak English I have called trying to get a hold of my stylist Marlen. I have called to speak to her or ask them to put down my number to have her call me back and they dont understand what Im saying.so I have no idea how to get a hold of this lady she colored and cut my hair at the time I thought it was really cute it was styled freshly colored but since the cut I cannot style it because its short layerd i cant straighten it or curl it, it has to be blow-dried a certain way i guess. since the color its bad I waited 5 days to wash my hair in cold water and that first wash my roots immediately turned pink my ends are a dark burgundy and I have black streaks. I asked for a wine color or burgundy color I made sure to say I have greys I dont want any reflective color on my roots. My roots are the first thing people notice. I assumed she was gonna do my roots darker because of the greys. She did not and my roots are pink . My hair was very dried out and I paid for a conditioner treatment because she said my hair was dry. After my hair still feels dry. If I could speak to her to find options and how we can fix this I would be happy. Im tempted to get some die and color it myself but after paying for my nail color and tipping it came out $280. If anyone can please have mis marlen or someone in English call me.! THESE 5 PHOTOS ON THE END WAS THE COLOR I ASKED FOR AS REFERENCE I WOULD HAVE PAID MORE IF I NEEDED MORE WORK BUT AS A PROFESSIONAL AND I AM NOT THIS LOOKS NOTHING LIKE ANY OF THESE PHOTOS AND I JUST WANT TO CRY

Che Llo This place had me waiting 30 mins and counting for a haircut. And yes, it was not full nor busy. There was a lady busy , but the other two barbers were free handed and when I asked for a cut they said "give me a few mins". So, I did,but both of them were just patiently on their phone laughing. Therefore, I just left.

Alexis Zamora The lady who cut my hair wasnt mean, but wasnt the most welcoming either. She did pick up the phone and was on it for a while in the middle of my cut. The haircut she gave me, after I showed her a picture of what I wanted, wasnt what I wanted. She explained that it can go for any way you style it but I asked for the on in the photo. I live with what I have for the moment. Ill give it another shot in another month, but if its not what I want, then I wont go back.

Luz Romero They had cut my hair too short on the top and then rest of my hair is long so it looks real wonky asked not to cut my hair at the bottom js for them to cut it either way it seemed like my hair is thinning very unsatisfied not to mention it didn’t look like the photo AT ALL normally hairstylist I would go to before would ask to see the picture twice or thrice while this hairstylist only looked at it once and seemed like they eyeballed it, it looked okay once I had gotten it but after showering and straighten smaller pieces of my hair go up

She is very knowledgeable about hair care and is always happy to answer any questions I have. If I ever need an adjustment to the style or color, she is more than willing to accommodate and makes sure I leave completely satisfied.

Kim Mendez I had such a great experience with Adi for my lash lift appointment! From the moment I sat down, she made me feel so comfortable. Daisy Guzman I always have such a great experience here! I’ve gone to both Erika and Liseth and they are both very professional and do a phenomenal job on coloring my hair. I have a hard time booking due to my work schedule, and they are both so accommodating. Erika is the one person I’ve ever been to who can master my haircuts, and never goes shorter than what I asked for, (we’ve all been there) not to mention it grows back so fast and healthy! I will always recommend this place to my friends and family, and never go elsewhere! Thanks ladies!
