Baker Family Dentistry - CarbondaleJalen Chaundy: I would like to take a moment and share my brief story and appreciation to Dr. Baker & his staff.
I have not seen a dentist in close to 12 years - partially due to horrible past experiences with my previous orthodontist, but more so my general lack of responsibility regarding my personal dental hygiene as I grew into middle & high school.
Due to such, lack of care overtime of course led to tooth decay and eventually had to face my ever longing fear: meeting a dentist again.
Iāve gotta give tremendous kudos & appreciation to Baker & his staff for not only their execution of my root canal and initial diagnosis, but their overall approach and demeanor throughout the process.
They understand that not everybody has had a good experience - they donāt sit and scold you like a 5 year old for ābad habitsā when you never really know the true reasonings why.
They care, they want to see people find relief and find solutions. And I can attest to that 100% with these last two visits.
Thank you all very much for your work - I look forward to actually returning to a dentist for once in my life.
Highly recommend Dr. Baker & this staff for anyone out there going through a similar scenario in life.

They get you right in to your Appointment Take their time to answer all questions. Everything is thorough, professional and taken care of from cleanings, fillings and future Appointments as well as billing. Literally everything handled for you. You dont even have to stress. The best in the southern illinois area IMO.
Kelly, Dr Jones, and Dr Kim are wonderful.

They will explain what needs to be done with your teeth and all the options.
I would recommend them to anyone that needs a GOOD Dentist.
Shawnee Health Murphysboro - MurphysboroEmily Isom: Incompetent and dangerous. I went in struggling with PPD/PPA 9 months postpartum and saw Theresa Johnson.
I was not only judged but was told I was just overwhelmed with motherhood and told to put my baby in daycare, stop breastfeeding and sleep train..instead of actually being offered medical help for a chemical and hormonal imbalance.
If 0 stars were available, thatās what this practice would receive.
Edit to add: my husband was denied a refill on his blood pressure medicine (a medicine he has been on for over a year) by the same practitioner until he was seen. However, they refused to schedule him for an appt before his medicine ran out.
Little Egypt Pediatric Dentistry - CarbondaleKatie A. Clayton: Dr. Travis and staff were so wonderful with my 8 month old daughter! She had so much fun playing in the kiddo-friendly lobby and looking at all of the neat Lego decor. Her exam was quick and easy. I think this is her new favorite place to be - future little Dentist Liberty approves!! A++
Dr. Jennifer E. Mihalopulos - CarbondaleTitania Mason: If I could leave no stars I would. Worst dental experience ever. I am unsure of how clean and sanitary the office is as the staff have their dogs present they even let dogs roam through the dental rooms - during my visit while getting a cleaning a huge dog kept climbing on me. The dentist is super quick - too quick which resulted in poor work. I have had repair on a chip tooth done in the early 2000s I went to Jennifer and not only did she replace my repair but she did a poor job with the replacement - my replacement is out of place and immediately after she got done you could feel the roughness behind the tooth as my tooth was not filed correctly. My teeth are in the worst possible shape and I have always had a pretty smile until going to Jenniferās office - last visit was 2023. I was confirmed that something is fishy with this office after I called requesting my medical records and was told that they can only send my records to another provider that I couldnāt have access to my own records.
