3 /5 Lonzo Bussy: It’s truly a pain to try and get a hold of them. They’re very unreliable with actually being in the barbershop and they never respond to your texts or calls. It’s a shame because they do a good job you just can’t ever schedule an appointment. You pretty much have to walk in and wing it, which is funny because they don’t like walk in clients. Hopefully they see this and start being more reliable because they a great job cutting hair, it’s just a pain trying to get an appointment.

1 /5 Ashley Cramer: The head barber, Jermaine, is incredibly rude. Unless you are one of his regulars, expect him to treat and talk to you like trash because you don’t have an appointment. I HIGHLY discouraged against this place. Poor customer service.

Sanctuary South - Rockford R Hanna: I always have a great time here and from professional looks to some fun colors, they have never disappointed. I followed Brittanie from her previous location and she is amazing. Most recently I have been letting her pick colors for me and it has been the best experience. I have gotten to try so many new looks.

Meta Beauty Collective - Rockford Kat Kibben: Derek gave me the best cut of my life. Im a trans and non-binary person with curly hair. Going to a salon is not something I look forward to, but I was losing hair in some spots after taking T. That haircut Ive had since my 20s wasnt working anymore. I sent some pictures and Derek did an incredible job. He deeply listened to all the little worries, never misgendered me, and took the time to let me just relax. I never felt rushed or like he was trying to get me out of the chair like I do at the barber shop. It was gender-affirming in every way. Plus, theres little affirmations all over the salon to remind you it is a safe place for the LGBT+ community. Even gender neutral pricing and bathrooms. Ill be back a hundred more times.

Tarah listened and I got the cut and style I wanted, even if it took 2 visits. She didnt charge me for the second visit because it was within a few days. The salon is very clean and well kept. Highly recommend!
