4 /5 Chris Campbell: Friends rented the boat for their wedding reception and meal. We really enjoyed the cruise up the river about half way to Byron and back. Food was very good. Service from the crew was really good. Although the lady serving food looked like she was headed to Walmart in her pajama pants. For a wedding I expect people to dress up even if just a bit over the average. Overall a very good experience that Id recommend doing at least once.
4 /5 L Fdo Arias: The Pride of Oregon. A riverboat built in 1989. Still brings joy for everyone who gets a tour with it. The calm and peaceful waters of the river makes a trip so enjoyable. The views are great.
5 /5 James Noord: My wife and I went on the cruise many years ago! Glad to see it still successfully navigating the river!! Great experience and really nice boat. Food was great!! When we were out there, fishing boats were on the river as well, it was very amazing traveling and waving at folks there, makes you wonder if that is what the old steamboats were like. On the way back from Byron, Linda and I sat on the top deck and the view was amazing! Truly an amazing place to is it and really great atmosphere and tour.
1 /5 Thomas Dovidio: Too bad I cannot leave 0 stars. This is an absurdity. These people have no idea how to run a business. Three times I have made advance reservations for this excursion and all three times it has been cancelled due to lack of numbers in signing up and/or cancelling, making it not "financially feasible" for them to run the excursion. This most recent cancellation was ONE HOUR before we were to leave for an 1-1/2 hour drive to Oregon, IL to catch the boat....ONE HOUR!. Ill never try again to take this trip...they do not deserve my money of my business. I cannot spread the word fast enough or far enough to tell people to stay away from these idiots. Hope they go out of business soon.
1 /5 Linda Dwyer: Terrible experience. They left dock without enough food for the patrons. Had to turn back half way through the cruise to get more food. Owner refused to compensate. Ruined the whole experience for those without plates and those who were looking forward to a complete cruise. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

Avary Benavides Shefland: Stopped at the overlook on my road trip for a little fresh air and to stretch my legs—was not disappointed! The drive was very pretty, I was the only car in the parking lot, and the run up the stairs to that view was exhilarating. I can’t speak for the rest of the park, but the overlook was a great little spot, clean, empty, well maintained.

Tanner Aaron D. (Biduman): We took the 12 miles kayak trip and had a perfect day out on the river. The team at White Pelican is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful at every step in the process. The only nit I have to pick is that some of the equipment could use a refresh. For example, my kayak had a broken foot rest on the left side, and the storage wasnt quite adequate for our trip bag, but ultimately, these things didnt take much away from the trip. There are miles of beautiful forest and magnificent rocky walls/outcrops. We stopped off at a couple of the islands and found gorgeous flowers and undisturbed wilderness that is deeply refreshing. We also stopped at the Castle Rock Park observatory and took in the stunning views atop the platforms there. ** If you plan to stop here, too, do yourself a favor and pull your boat in to where the shore looks rocky and sandy. The mud is at least six inches deep and extremely sticky. I found this out the hard way. ** In short, this is a trip I would gladly take again, and I will definitely go through White Pelican again when I do.

Candy Jordan: Wonderful park to walk or ride bikes, rollerblades. I play Monster Hunter and it has plenty of ore to mine and monsters to hunt. Beautiful scenery and trees to give you shade here and there. Water Park for the kids near the school. Usually plenty of parking they were redoing the one lot with asphalt so it will be really nice the next time I go.

Brian Oelberg: Hard to find but lovely spot on the Rock river. If you’re a canoeing or kayaking, this is your best option north of Oregon. There’s a dock (ADA accessible) and a paddle downriver, keeping to the right, will put you at the mouth of the Leaf River. This is a shaded, calm and pretty journey away from all the big river traffic.
