3 /5 Hilary Stott: Im trying to visit all of the parks in Yorkville..... Since my son is just about to be 2 years old, we are sticking to the parks that say they have a 2 to 5-year-old playground. The two to 5-year-old section for this park is a joke, and shouldnt even be called such. Three little stools to climb on and two swings for toddlers does not a playground make. The 5 to 12-year-old playground is pretty great, and I have course will be right next to my son as he runs around. Its just frustrating When there are very few 2 to 5-year-old playground structures in town anyway, and one of them at least is not truly a structure.

5 /5 Carl Plauck: This is a fun park with lots of activities for the kids. Additionally it is adjacent to a bike/skate park which offers some easier features for younger kids just learning. The kids also seem to especially enjoy the zip line swing

5 /5 Amy Devine: The park has a lot of interesting features like a zip-line and a wavey climbing wall. Kept my kid occupied for at least a solid 30 minutes. Clean area. Will definitely go back.

Discovery Depot Childrens Museum - Galesburg

Crystal Klein: This was my first time being here, but I loved it! I brought my first grade class here on a field trip. We live in Burlington, so it was a bit of a drive, but totally worth it. The main level was set up like a town, with stores, banks, farms, ambulance, and much more. The upstairs was all about trains! They also had a neat climbing structure that my students loved. We brought our lunch, and also got to play on their playground. Reservations required for large groups.

Deborah Mullins: The tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about his job. He actually pretty much made it more interesting than it would have been without him. The surrounding area leaves a lot to be desired. Galesburg should really try to promote the tourism to help with the upkeep if they want to continued to advertise this as a spot and historical site. The should find a way to alot funding to help.

Washington Square Park - Ottawa

hissweetgrace: Beautiful little plaza with European style feel Very peaceful and relaxing to sit by the fountain and the history with Abraham Lincoln makes it special. There are some great little restaurants in this small town Downtown by the square is worth a walk through. Hiking 15 minutes away at the state parks. This is definitely an area worth visiting!!

Ottawa Historical and Scouting Heritage Museum - Ottawa

Aimee J.: Very knowledgeable, friendly, and informative! We learned a lot about the history! They go out of their way to give you information. They have great programs too! The museum is free, but they accept donations. The special presentations have a small fee, but its worth it plus theres snacks with the presentations.

Dayton Bluffs Preserve - Ottawa

CherryBomb737: This beautiful 253-acre Dayton Bluffs Reserve has been beautifully restored. The Conservation Foundation purchased the property in 2013 and is leased to the city of Ottawa. The friends of Dayton Bluffs a local volunteer group helps with the continued restoration and management of the preserves natural and historic resources. Please take your garbage with you and keep this a paradise. Leaf it like you found it!

Illinois Waterway Visitors Center - Ottawa

David Mueller: Nice stop if you make it out to Utica or Ottawa, Illinois. Always fun to watch a barge lock through. There is a nice visitor center and several good spots to observe. Clean restrooms. Great view of Starved Rock from this location. Picnic area onsite.

Catlin Park - Ottawa
