Matthew Knapp I have been a customer of Karis for about 2-3 years now and have only had good experiences with her! Shes very personable, great at her job, and knows what shes talking about. Likes to work with her customers and make sure she knows what you want. She cares about the quality of the products she uses and cares about if the customer likes the finished result. I have only ever worked with Kari, the owner, with hair cutting and coloring. She offers many other services on top of that though, and I would bet theyre all just as great! Have not worked with any of the other staff, but they all are very welcoming and seem personable as well! Nothing bad to say!

Ricky Almaguer Manicure and Pedicure services are great here. Teri does an amazing job and you can tell she enjoys providing these services.

Jessica Bacon The best place on Bloomington Normal. Always a perfect job on color, cut and nails.

Charles Brawner Cheryl always asks specific questions as to how you would like your hair styled. She is a very cheerful and positive person, and easy going to speak with. I highly recommend her!

I have been a licensed cosmetologist for almost 4 years and I’m also certified in Gel-X. I do all types of nails and relaxing pedicures. Some of the nails I offer are regular gel manis, dip powder, acrylics, and of course Gel-X. If you are looking for someone who cares about keeping your natural nail integrity I am the girl. Maria Ryan Very impressed with my daughter’s ear piercing with Kim at Merle Norman! She walked us through each step, explaining as she went and making sure everything was sterile and safe. Very professional. Also she was so friendly, making my child feel calm and happy, as we all waited for the numbing gel to take effect and she took her time making sure each ear mark was centered before using the ear gun. There was no rushing. It was just such a pleasant happy experience for my daughter’s first-time!! Thank you, Kim!! I would definitely recommend her.

marriah nunn I had gotten a facial and wax by Annyce ! She was so professional, confident, and knowledgeable about everything she did. As a single mom of two i definitely told my self I need to treat myself and Annyce definitely make me feel relaxed and pampered to the max. I can’t wait to make her part of my self pampering ❤️

Danis Klatt They dont seem to be very knowledgeable about their products? I think they need more training. They should stop selling products & just be a spa. They are mre interested in eyebrow clients than selling makeup/skincare!

Kendall Jones When I say this is the best nail salon in town, I mean it! My very first time getting my nails done here was back in 2019. I’ve been loyal to them ever since!! The staff are all very friendly and genuine! The vibe in the salon is what originally what made me want to go back. They have a good music playlist, a clean salon, a HUGE selection of color (I’ve never seen a salon have more color options than they do) and more! I usually get my nails done by Gina, but will occasionally have them done by her sister or her husband, and even they are amazing! No one there has ever nicked me or hurt me in ANY way, in the past 5 years!! And I have ALWAYS left with my nails looking so clean and smooth!! Reading previous reviews, I honesty felt attacked and I don’t even work there. However, I am an independent hairstylist and I will say, if you have 2+ no call/no shows, you will most likely be asked to find a new salon. It’s how the beauty industry is!! So just keep that in mind!! Their prices do go up occasionally, just like any other salon, but they are still very reasonably priced!!

Shanaria Ward I went to high tech nails and spent $40 on a “gel-manicure” and this is what they look like after 3 days. I’m just really disappointed because I feel like high tech normally does a decent job. $40 does not feel reasonable for a paint job that lasted 3 days

Katie L Daydream salon and spa is amazing! First of all the vibes are great. The music is relaxing in the spa rooms and fun and upbeat in the nail salon and cutting stations. The aesthetics of the paint and decor are modern and very welcoming. All of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a wide range of services. They are open 7 days a week which is rare in itself but the hours are also late into the evening so they can cater to almost anyone’s schedule. Kenzi is the cosmetologist that I see and I highly recommend her but I am sure you will be pleased with a service from any of these ladies!

Terri Howes Came to Sam a handful of times, each visit I felt as if she was trying to do away with my business. Had color dripping down my neck at work the next day the owner did fix for free but a continuous down hill slide for the next 2 appt Would not recommend and owner is not friendly. Even if owner is not doing your hair she should at least introduce herself.

Channen Settles I love Miracles and Bodyworks! Everyone is friendly and makes you feel so comfortable!! Sam has done my hair for several years, she is creative and truly listens! She has put up with me wanting different colors, cuts, up do”s and growing out. Always with a smile and helpful hints. She goes out of her way to get the products I need as well. Love this salon! ❤️

L E I decided to try this place, I got gel nails. The lady started off by putting acrylic over my regular nails, she did put a few tips on each finger to make my mail length equal to the rest of my natural nails. Two on each hand. But I felt that the gel or acrylic she put on was too thick. The nails looked bubbly or something, very wide and not really natural shaped. Overall it’s ok, but I don’t think I’ll be back.

Emma L Based on my description error, I got a one-time curling hair, the lady who helped me also kindly asked me if I needed water, but she didnt ask me what type of curls I wanted, and then I was full of doubts and got it ——A very small curly hair, I told my friends that I just came out of the hair salon, no one believed, not even I, I could do it better at home, I just had my head full of wonder why it was done for me curly hair like this? Even if I just said I want curly hair, at least ask me what type I want, you know what it feels like the more you think about it, the more wrong it feels? I asked if I could curl my hair without an appointment. The lady at the front desk was very nice and arranged for a lady who was temporarily available to help me. She washed my hair, dried it and straightened it, and then directly gave me a minimal volume, and then Im done. I know the feedback I gave you that day was good, and the lady helped me very patiently than I knew the perm service I actually wanted to do, and I also gave her a nice tip, but I didnt realize there is something wrong at that time ，maybe there is, because the doubt has been in my mind, it has grown out in the past two days, just talking about the service of one-time curly hair may be barely related to perfunctory. If you guys dont have enough time and tell me you can’t serve me without the appointment ,thats fine, but its not a good idea to get me a curl like this to kill me. Thank you for your patience.And this is what I looked like when I got home that day.

Pam Jones I have been been going to TM Hair Design for many years. Great salon! Very nice atmosphere and everyone is really friendly. Mickey always does a great job on my hair and she goes above and beyond to get me in when I need. I recently had many cockleburs stuck in my hair down to the scalp. I called Mickey and she made sure I was going to get in to see someone immediately. Jenny was so willing to help, she came in on her day off and was able to get them out! I am so grateful for their quick response to my problem! I highly recommend TM Hair Design and Spa and would give them more than 5 stars if I could.

Brandi sent me home looking and most importantly feeling absolutely amazing, and Im pretty sure I know where Ill be going for future styles. I cant remember the name of the lady who set the appointment up for me over the phone, but she was also fantastic; very patient and understanding as I described how difficult it is to schedule things with 60 hour work weeks - and because of that I was able to get an awesome cut today. Just an all around lovely experience and I cant wait to come back.

S C Im here to set the record straight. Ive seen a couple of inaccurate negative reviews. Contours is great! Ive been a client at Contours for about 24 years...using various services. Yes, Ive tried others, but Candy is my "go-to" for facials, wax, advice and fun conversation. As owner, Ive seen her nuture and encourage her employees over the years. Shes an excellent esthetician and always goes the extra mile. You wont be disappointed and thats why they are among favorites in the Pantagraph Readers Choice. p.s. they always confirm appointments via email, text, and phone.

Kenzie Cummings i went in with an appointment and still had to wait some time once i was helped i told the guy what i wanted and he got to work don’t get me wrong i like the color and the design but he made all but one nail bleed all my fingers hurt after and i had to deal with the bleeding for a few hours after because it would not stop. i was very unhappy with the pain and blood. it was very painful as he was doing my nails also. don’t recommend this place at all. edit: i’m now on day two and my fingers hurt so bad i can’t hardly do anything i think some of my fingers are infected…

Judy Watkins Greatest place in Bloomington/Normal to get your nails done and other services they provide. They are always very professional and personal. Always wanting to make sure you are happy with services provided. During these difficult times with COVID they are doing everything they can to keep their business safe for them as well as their customers. Ive been going there for 15 years and not 1 time have I left unsatisfied. Give them a try you will love them as much as I do.

Beth Harlan Would not recommend this place. Scheduled 2 pedicures and one manicure for myself and my 2 daughters. I asked for the pedicure with the longest/most massage, massage was basically non-existent and lasted maybe 90 seconds. Lotion was not even fully rubbed into my skin. Both my daughter and I had remnants of the paraffin wax left on our legs. My daughter who was getting the manicure had them switch out people in the middle of her manicure (another person came in for an appointment but we had made appointments as well) and they switched the color she had selected without her approval. To top it all off, they applied an automatic tip without informing me when I paid.

Suganda Cluver Very comfortable massage chairs for pedi with TV in the room although I didn’t want to watch anything. Place is very nice and clean. When I walked in, I felt like I was welcome into a home with warm welcome.

4 Oaks Farm BEST pedicure I’ve EVER had! Great massage and they were great with my 6 year old for a child’s pedi!!! We will be back again!!
