Francesca Veto This is two reviews in one. I absolutely love my nails! Johnny has done my nails twice, and is so lovely and talented. He is patient when I show him the design I want and even added the chrome powder when I told him I like a bit of shine! The Vibe is good, and Johnny asked me questions about myself. I am so impressed with the design. The first photo was my pre-valentines day nails. I wanted something more subtle, and the second is V-Day ready!

Elizabeth LaBerge I have been going to Elegant Nails for 8+ years, and I can’t/wont go anywhere else. Annie is AMAZING. She’s so talented and hand draws all designs! Also love that they let you soak off/start your nails while you’re getting a pedicure (hate being stuck forever). Recommend them to everyone.

Kendall Logan Johnny SLAYS my nails every single time! Love this set. Lee does amazing pedicures! Everyone there is super sweet and talented! I’m always met with hospitality and get exactly what I ask for every time.

Dr. Callista Lay DC Celine did my nails today and they are perfect! Exactly what I wanted and asked for and she was very patient and attentive. The flower work is so delicate and sweet. She really took her time selecting colors and creating a soft yet elegant look for me. I’m very happy with what I got and appreciate Celine so much!!!

Carley M Edit: update 3/29 - after the salons response, I had to come back twice within the 7 days because the acrylic broke in three nails and the paint was chipping. The second time I came in, I was sat with the original lady. It was clear she did not want to work on me, soaked my hand (for no reason it seemed) and walked away, leaving me alone for about 15 minutes.. anyways, Lily and Terri were both fantastic and fixed the issues that were clearly the First woman’s mistakes. Adding a stat for the salons response and Terri and Lily. I’ve been coming here off/on for a year and this is by far the worst experience I’ve had. 0 stars for 1st woman but Sarah (D.) deserves 5 stars. Came in at 2pm to get a full set. I wish I’d gotten the 1st woman’s name but she was horrible. While “applying” the monomer, she was literally splashing all over my finger and was using a brush that was entirely too large and using so much acrylic. After this, I noticed there were so many gaps between the acrylic and my cuticle (1st picture). When I pointed it out, she asked “oh do you want more?” And I responded yeah, I’ll need a refill within the hour??? After this interaction, I figured she’d use a smaller brush but nope, pulls out another large brush. I stopped her then and said I wanted to get someone else. I will say I’m pleased by Sarah’s work and correction, she did phenomenal and was very sweet. However, I’m beyond shocked they still charged me full price ($75) after being there for 2.5 hours and having to request to have someone else and even more they tried to get me to do a pedicure same day.. I’ve already spent too much of my Sunday being irritated, annoyed and upset during an appointment that was meant to help all of that. My skin has chemical irritation from the first’s application (3rd picture) and under the nails theres so much acrylic build up.(2nd picture). AND a nail has already chipped, 15 mins after being home! (4th picture) All in all, I doubt I’ll be back unless I work only with Sarah. She is the saving grace there. Sarah did the best with what she could with the first person’s horrendous ground work.The actual nails look extremely pretty and I’m pleased with her work. I could only imagine the amazing work Sarah can do without being given the mess of someone else’s.

liz kaczmarek Betty E is the absolute best!! She is so talented and does the most amazing nail art, but also kills it if you just go basic. She also has been able to keep my nails so healthy that I am able to keep my natural nails long without needing tips. I won’t let anyone else touch my nails!!!

Tiffany Gaymon Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Price I recently visited this nail salon and, unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service. The quality of my nails is subpar; the lines are crooked, the French tips are uneven, and what should have been a relaxing experience turned into a frustrating three-hour ordeal. For $120, I expected a much higher level of craftsmanship. Regrettably, I dont feel that the service I received warranted this price. I would appreciate it if the owner could address this issue and correct my nails at no additional charge. Communication is essential, and I hope to resolve this matter amicably. Nails done by Kay

Kim Enderle Recently moved to the South Loop and have been looking for a nail salon close to my building. I found it! Called on a Saturday morning just before 10am and was told they could take me right away. Walked over and was immediately seated. Had acrylic fill and no-chip. They are fast, about 35-40 minutes, and did an incredible job. I really appreciated the warm lotion and hot towels. Will definitely go back!

Taja Green They do an pretty good job! Been going for years; but they just put me in a bind stopped taking reservations early at 5pm on a Thursday; when they close at 8!!

Avendah Zickterman The owner is so attentive, kind, and takes pride in his establishment. I made an appointment for a party of three. Despite it being a busy Saturday afternoon, he made sure we were able to sit next to each other at the pedicure and manicure stations. He helped me put my socks and shoes on to avoid messing up my nails. The nail technicians did an amazing job! My pinky toe nails are permanently damaged, and the technician was very gentle. I love the tools they used to clean up the cuticles and dead skin on the toe nails - efficient and effective. The foot massage was wonderful, and my feet are still soft. Love this place! I travel from the far south side to get my nails done at this location, and it is definitely worth it.

Ariel Greenstein I’ve been a regular at Lo Spa for a couple of years now and LOVE the service. Massage chairs, clean facility, good music & welcoming staff. Also their array of nail colors is amazing.

Camila Amancio I’ve been a client for over 3 years now. The service is great, the staff are really nice and friendly, and the salon is always clean. They offer tons of color choices, and I love that there’s always a movie playing on the TV!

Monica Medina I had the best experience with Allison! She was incredibly sweet, professional, and made me feel so comfortable the entire time. Her attention to detail is unmatched—she took her time to make sure every part of my Apres Gel-X mani (Chrome French Tip) was perfect, and the end result was absolutely stunning. You can really tell she cares about her work and wants her clients to leave happy. Highly recommend her if you want beautiful nails and a relaxing experience. On top of that, the salon was spotless and had such a clean, relaxing vibe.

Lauren Roberge My regular nail spot was booked, so I went to 7AM with my friend and the options were amazing! My nails were short, but Brianna did such a good job with the Dazzle Dry (non-toxic option). This might be my new spot! Great vibes, so clean, and fun staff! Will be back!

Jennifer Griffin-Wells Stephanie (manicure w builder gel) and Brianna (pedicure) were great and my nails look amazing!! They were both very helpful, gave great suggestions regarding my nails and toes and were just a pleasure. It was a very relaxing experience and I will definitely be back!

Kim Harrison They did not offer acrylic nor tips, they glued a nail on and it did not stay 24 hours. They didn’t measure to see if it was even and the lady who started my nails seemed disgusted and didn’t want to do my nails. She stopped and went to do someone else’s nails. The man and the greeter were nice. However, I felt tolerated and not appreciated.

Julie Rolf I really think they do a nice job, booking is easy, they take care and clean and are thorough with mani/pedis. I really like Leah! She did a great job! Also they are reasonable.

Suzanne Rens I absolutely love this salon! First of all, it doesn’t have that strong, typical nail salon smell when you walk in, which is such a nice change. The whole place is super clean, and everyone is so friendly. I waited to write this review to really test how my nails held up, and I’m impressed! I got BIAB done by Nomi, and my nails lasted an amazing 3 weeks. As a personal trainer, I’m pretty tough on my hands—I’m constantly washing them and working with equipment—but they still looked fantastic (just got really long!). The second photo is my fresh set from today, and I’m obsessed. Thank you so much, Nomi! Highly recommend!

Fisola Adeosun I really wanted to rate this place higher because the staff are genuinely amazing, and I appreciated how gentle their service was on my nails. I got a BIAB (builder gel) manicure a little over two weeks ago, hoping for something that would really last. Unfortunately, the nails started chipping just three days in. They offered a free touch-up the following week, and I actually didn’t mind that they had to dissolve and redo the whole set—it gave me a chance to try a new color, and honestly, it just showed how intentional and caring they are with their clients. That said, the second set started chipping again after just a week. I do cook and wash dishes often, which could be a factor, but that’s exactly why I opted for BIAB in the first place. So while the service and staff are great, I’m just a bit disappointed in the durability.

Raina Gorman The GelX application looked nice initially, but the nail on my left pointer finger lifted and fell off after being on for just three days. I think it was applied incorrectly. My tech was sweet (hence the two stars instead of one) but had to start over several times and the UV glue exceeded far beyond my natural nail which left an ugly and rough underside. I’m sad that I’ll have to get my nails fixed as soon as I get back to my home city after I spent a lot of money on this set. 4/22 EDIT: Revised my edit from 2 stars to five because of the amazing customer service I received. As soon as the salon saw my review, the customer satisfaction manager Tam reached out to me directly and offered to make things right. When I told Tam that I was just in Chicago for the weekend, she offered to cover the cost of a replacement set at a salon in my home city. This is some of the best customer service I’ve received from any business, big or small. I really appreciated the effort to make things right. Thank you so much!

anastasiya smal I have heard so many great things about this nail salon and wanted to try it out. Unfortunately, this is the result of my second nail appointment at the salon and I was and am still speechless. I told the nail technician that I didn’t like them (what else do you say when your $55 nail appointment looks like this?) and she blamed it on the color and told me to choose another color. My new manicure still has yellow on the cuticles and looks like someone decided to prank me while doing my nails. A few weeks ago, Scott did a phenomenal job with my nail extension + dip powder nail appointment; however, Vivian really disappointed me. I will not be coming back.

Elisa DB I love going here. The manicures and pedicures are great. I highly suggest to get the gel x extensions. They do such a great job! Vivian is so nice and everytime I go I get well taken care of. Youll leave feeling so relaxed and stress free!

Merissa Mayo I’ve been going there for a couple months now, and they are great for nails - but suggest making an appointment. They are very attentive, very good results, and they offer wine during your service if you want to relax more!

Julia Balling Agnes did an amazing job on my nails, was super detail oriented and very sweet. Third time at Juko and it’s become my favorite spot for nails. They also offer wine! 10/10.

Erika Studt Crowther I got a regular manicure with Natalie, she really took her time and gave me a gorgeous mani that is still holding up perfectly days later. She was really sweet, lovely to chat with, and if I lived closer I would definitely be a regular.

Tatiana Velandia This was my first visit, and I was disappointed with the service. The nail technician who assisted me was quite rude, especially when filing my last polished nail. Additionally, I paid an extra $15 for a design, but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted.

Megan Patrese I have been receiving regular pedicures for almost 2 years here and have always been very pleased. Let me preface the rest of this review saying my first pedicure in Chicago 5 years ago was a nightmare that led to an infected toe that required medical attention for months, so I’m very particular about pedicures now. When I found this salon I was happy as it’s pretty close to home and every woman who’s provided pedicures has done a great job….until today. The young woman who started my pedicure seemed very uninterested in her work. Most of the time she was staring at the wall or at other clients. She was holding the nail clippers backwards and appeared like she had never used them before. I told her 3 times that my nails needed to be cut more, as she essentially wasn’t cutting them at all. Three times I told her the corner of my nail was digging into my skin and she never addressed it. She put lotion on at the end and then wiped it all off with a towel immediately. My nail shapes are different on each foot because she did a complete foot start to finish (minus the polish) before doing the next. Then another woman came to handle the polish portion of the service and I asked her to look at my nail in my skin and she didn’t even look at it. I am extremely disappointed today and will not be back. I made an appointment hours in advance but it felt like they were too busy and had the first employee provide services she’s not trained too offer. I gave 2 stars due to all my previous experience but a previous 5 star review is dropped to a 2 star, after today’s 0 star experience.

Abigail Bolen I came here after reading the reviews, some of which were not great. However, I was incredibly pleased with my service and my tech was incredibly polite, attentive, and professional. When I wasn’t sure what type to get, she showed me the colors for each and helped me decide. When I wasn’t sure if I needed another coat, she made the call and it was a good one. I’ll come back here and recommend it to my friends.

Olivia Szauer I was doing acrylic nails for years and my coworker wanted to try dip and she thought we should go together. I was ready for the change in salons and switching away from fake nails. I have been going to Amy for a few months and could not be happier. I have long healthy nails and the dip never cracks, chips, or feels too thick.

Leah Tabor such a lovely experience! i’ve had the owner twice, and she is so sweet every time. respects my silent time but also will have a nice convo w me. while the design i had presented was a bit too difficult, she made sure i was happy before i left, and presented several other options after trying the original. takes a while but attention to detail is crucial and my nails look so good! :) the pic attached is about a week after

Davinder Tagore I would say its pure luck who is doing your nails! First time I got no chip manicure, it was awesome no complaints whatsoever. Very nice and clean salon. Second visit, I feel rushed, tech did no-chip removal and gel application within 15 mins. I noticed cracks within a week and went back to get it fixed. Their reasoning for cracks: If you type on keyboard you are prone to get cracks not sure how true is that. The last time nothing happened for almost 2 weeks. But anyways same tech did the fix, under 5 mins buffed and re-applied color and clear gel coating. Now, there is a noticeable dip on my ring finger nail, see attached pic. I guess at the end when she was rushing and applying something with the cotton might have caused it. Go at your own risk.

Sofia Greggio This is my first time ever leaving a one-star review. I’ve never felt so small and speechless at a nail salon before. I came in and the front desk girl was very nice, she even helped me pick out what color I wanted. She was lovely. The manager sat me down and asked if I wanted anything to drink. He was a bit gruff, but he was also busy. All good so far. Then a lady named Diamond came over and started working on my hands. I was a bit nervous because I was trying dip for the first time and didn’t want it to look too big on my small nail beds. Not only was she impatient, but she snapped at me multiple times when I couldn’t understand her. One nail was so crooked that I asked her multiple times to fix it and she refused. The most she did was take the file and pretend to file it with no change. They ended up looking too big and bulky, and I was on the verge of tears the whole appointment because I was too afraid to ask her to file them down again.

Alexa Nicholson This was my third time visiting. I actually have really enjoyed them in the past and recommend it to my friends. I tried out white dip with a pearl chrome for a wedding and a trip to Vegas last Friday. Within the first 2 days my chrome chipped off and this was an 80+ manicure. I went it to get it fixed and now there’s a weird mark on the finger. I was invited by the owner to get it fixed after my trip. This is one week from getting my nails done and every single nail has a chip or the chrome has completely come off…the tip is also browning on several of the nails?? I’m just really disappointed and frustrated over the experience being a waste of time and money.

Maria De Juan I arrived in Chicago yesterday and I was in dire need of a manicure and pedicure. My hotel front desk suggested we try this location. The place is very clean, very welcoming and warm, they quickly took me in as a walk-in and I got seated with Monica who was the sweetest most kindest and amazing nail tech I’ve had in a really long time. If I could afford it, I would fly back every month just to have my nails done with her! If you need to get your nails done, highly recommend visiting Vegas Nail Salon! I have to share that I took off a acrylics about a month ago and my actual nails are still brittle and Monica left them looking so healthy so pretty it was the most amazing and relaxing experience. I’ve had a great way to start my trip to Chicago.!

INDIA MCFARLANE I appreciate the cleanliness of the salon and that the salon handles appointments professionally. Ive been going to Lina for over a year and she is simply the best! She has very strong attention to detail, makes sure my nails are healthy, does not drill them down too much, and does amazing event nails when you want something fancier. She does a dip mani for me once a month and it lasts the whole month, never chips or breaks. Highly recommend!

Aide Briseno I just started going to West Loop Nails, and I’m already hooked! The space is so clean, nice, and relaxing, and everyone there is super friendly. My nail tech, Lina, is incredible — she’s so creative and honestly good at everything. If you do dip, trust her — she keeps them looking natural and not too thick. She’s also a pro at Gel X, and I recently switched to overlay, which I’m obsessed with. When you bring her an idea, she makes it look identical and somehow even better. Honestly, I’ll follow her all over the city if I have to — she’s that good. Highly recommend her!

antoinette copeland Alex is the absolute best!!!! He takes his time and puts passion and creativity into each set he has done for me. Together we come up with a unique and beautiful set each time! I get so many compliments! Everyone in this salon is very kind, welcoming, and look forward to seeing each client again! Berin Simsek Kevin is a true artist! I booked an appointment with him to test out dip nails for my wedding in a few months and he gave me the most natural looking, gorgeous French manicure dip nails I could ever imagine!! And this is huge considering I only ever get gel nails in very neutral colors. I can’t wait to go back to him for my nails for the wedding!!!

Stefanie Lombardo Kevin does incredible work! I have been going to him for several months now and he consistently delivers a fantastic dip manicure. This time I told him I wanted to practice for my wedding manicure and he took is as seriously as if my wedding was tomorrow. He did practice combinations of pink/white to help me pick which combo I wanted for my ombré French mani. He’s very meticulous and takes his time getting everything exactly right. They look and feel like gel (instead of the thickness that dip can cause if not properly filed/shaped). 10/10 would recommend Swanky Nails and Kevin! ☺️

Laly Zepeda Love getting my mani and pedi done at Orleans Nails! As someone with a busy work schedule, I really appreciate how flexible and accommodating they are with scheduling appointments. I always feel so relaxed and welcomed there. Everyone there does great work and I always get compliments on my nails afterwards. And as much as I love seeing my nails looking pristine, after a long work day my favorite part is the hand massage at the end. Almost always puts me to sleep. Keep being awesome guys! Anna Rubenacker Orleans Nails and Spa is great! I regularly go to Holly for gel manicures and pedicures. She is so quick, efficient and does one of the best manicures I’ve ever had. I’m always impressed after I leave. I will be going to her for as long as I live in the area. Their prices are very reasonable and I never have issues getting an appointment. They always are flexible and even stay late to see customers. Highly recommend going here and requesting Holly.
